Yes, definately, positively. This would help lower our taxes greatly. We should not be paying for the illegals education. No way, no how. |

Yes that way we don't have to pay for illegals to learn ENGLISH our language I live in TX and have to pay to send my son to pre k because English is the only language he knows If he spoke Spanish the government would pay for it with our tax dollars |

How dare you think of the American Kid !! You are so evil . The people in this country need the illegals other wise America will fail . You do not know that we could not carry on with out all these criminals ! How hard that worked to steal from U.S ! They walk across the border just to help you ?
Stop N.A.U. (north Americas union ) at all cost it is evil AND go Home illegals !!! |

Absolutely, any law that will combat illegal immigration and reduce the hand outs and freebies should be enacted and enforced. |

Absolutely! But to do that, the politicians would have to stop believing that the Illegals if made citizens would actually vote for them. Nobody wants to step up to the plate and do what is best for the American people. They are banking on future votes instead of taking care of those of us who are actual citizens. Not only would it save us money on education, but health cost, insurance and infra structure cost would go down as well. Furthermore, everybody who believes cost would go up if all the illegals were sent home need to stop and consider that once they are legalized, they will no longer work for $10.00 an hour (and yes, many of them are making at least that). The unions will swoop down on them and tell them they are worth $30.00 per hour, plus benefits, pension, and social security. The answer is SEAL the border, and then start deporting. If you are caught in this country illegally, you will be sent home. If you commit a crime, you will be punished and then sent home. Stop the bleeding of the American tax payer!
And to Sergio D. if you cannot show a social security number, the school still has to accept you! There are many states and I will not list them, that do require a ss number but will accept your child even if you do not provide one as they are required to do so under federal law! |

Yes.
I don't think that others realize how much illegal immigrant children really take away in the school system. Schools get their money based on the numbers of students REGISTERED the year before. If there is suddenly 2,000 more students than budgeted for in a school, that is one of the major contributors to there not being enough text books, supplies, class rooms, teachers and basic attention to learning. This takes class sizes from the acceptable 25 students per teacher to 40 per teacher.
And people think this is HARMLESS? The children in the class that are in the nation legally are the ones that suffer for this. And people also wonder why the test scores are so low in the US. . . Hmmmm. . . |

Yes, I am not saying we should not allow them to attend school, but all new students have to show a birth certificate, immunizations, and have their records from their former schools, so why should the children of the illegals be any treated any differently. A social security number should not mandatory, but should be asked for. |

Yes and parents should be prosecuted for contributing. |

it would not be a bad idea, however if we do all other things the fence, remove access to any financial aid and housing, then it should not be necessary. illegal children should not be educated at taxpayers expense. free education is another thing that draws illegals to the U.S. |

People who live here illegally should be deported. This goes for kids, too. Deport the kid and maybe the parents will go, too. |

The democratic party as well as the President wants us to go ahead and educate those illegal aliens. They are not offering to pay the cost.. and they shouldn't, but they also shouldn't be makeing that refusal of education processes difficult.
In all of the immigration processes, we have a very big problem... the Democrats as well as the President, want all these things done with our money. They tax us at the Federal Level if the States won't do it at their level. It is wrong!!

I resent being asked to pay for the education of illegals. The cost is immense and the toll it is taking on our schools keep our own children from making the most of their education due to the illegals. Again, it's not the children's fault but their parent's but I'm not willing to make the children of American citizens pay for the illegal parent's crimes. And that goes for any aid or any other freebies that these illegals draw upon at our expense! The responsiblity of children falls to their parents and that is not what is being done. |

It's complete and total insanity that those laws are not already in place. It's like we're living in Bizzaro world from the Superman comics where everything is backwards. |

Yes.
My parents couldn't enroll me in a U.S. public school, without showing my birth certificate, and that was several decades ago. So, they already know on registration who was born in the U.S., and who wasn't. Presumably, anyone without a birth certificate is required to show some other identifying document. I'm thinking that means it's already known who the illegals are, and the real problem is that states don't report illegals to the feds, which means the feds don't have the list to target for deportation.
It seems to me what's needed is more sharing of information between states and feds. Perhaps, 20 years ago, that concept was too ambitious. But, it's not now. |

So that they MUST determine it, not so they may. And yes they should pay. LEGAL nonresident visitors have to pay tuition. |

although im completely against amnesty, im going to have to say no on this one.
when it comes to children, it wasnt their choice to illegally enter the country. They should not be punished for their parents crimes.
you listed the numbers on how much we spend on these kids, but the only thing we can do, is crack down on illegal immigration and hope that that will stop others from breaking the law. |

What difference would it make? Public education is a constitutional right in most states. If you don't want to put illegal kids in school, what do you want to do with them, let them roam around on the streets and join gangs? |

second of all, you need a social security number to get into school. and don't tell me that the kids steal them.
ok, now that you've clarified, i still have some criticisms. first of all, that's just one city. i'm not denying that it happens everywhere, but i'm informing you that evidence needs to be convincing and one city is never convincing enough.
convincing evidence looks like this:
