Deported, run dragnets to round them up, throw them into county jails for six months and then when they are released, release them at the border and say don't come back because the next time it will be 12 months.
I would also levy $10,000 fines to employers for each illegal that they had employed. I bet they would never hire another illegal ever again. |

We should enforce our laws and deport as many as possibly can.
We don't have a policy of letting them stay. |

Deport when found You would have to have them in custody to know they are illegal alien invaders just arrest and deport
Just having employers check SS#'s
report those that do not match and ICE arrest and deport them
The WALL needs to be built
of course getting ICE to do their job is the hard part |

DEPORT the ILLEGALS and Strictly Enforce the laws
by sending troops to the borders and do the same thing that Mexico does on it's southern border, shoot first and ask questions later or throw them in prison. |

First we need to get a fence up to stop them from coming. Mexico is becoming the 51 state!! I think we need to send back as many as possible but exactly how...that's a tough question because while some are honest and good working not all are so how do we know exactly who they are or how long they've been here. If any are caught doing something illegally besides crossing the border, they should be sent home immediately regardless of how long they've been here. We don't need to spend court costs on them too. |

when we deport them, we should GPS tag them. Then we can see em coming next time! |

Deported, and it's not brain surgery. Just arrest them, put them on a large prison barge that they can't jump off of, take them as far south on the pacific side of mexico as you can, and put them ashore there. At least then it will take them awhile to get back to the border. If mexico objects, tough shi+. They can figure out what to do to keep their hobos off our land. |

Follow our laws, illegals should not be granted blanket amnesty to stay in our country illegally so they should be sent back home until they can enter our country legally. Many aliens came into our country the legal way and became citizens of our nation legally. To allow others to break the rules and circumvent laws in place to protect all of our nations people, the citizens by birth and our naturalized citizens too, is to say our laws are made to be broken and it does not matter what we Americans think about aleins illegal entry into our country. Try doing this same thing in other countries and see how much empathy those countries will have on Americans sneaking into their countries illegally.
I feel great empathy for the poor and downtrodden people of this world but I am also a firm believer in there is a right way and wrong way to do things and illegal immigration is just that--illegal. |

they should be deported, if they are repeated pick ups then deport them to some deserted island. immigrations can deport them. it takes time, but eventually we will have all illegals out of america. we need the wall built asap. |

They should be deported unles they go through the necessary procedures to become a citizen. What is so damn hard about that??Doesn't "ILLEGAL"have any meaning?? |

Every illegal aliens in our country should be deport it and we have to secure our border to make sure they don't come back. Just like any other criminal should go to jail... |

We should deport or jail as many as possible, empty the jails of no-violent drug offenders and fill them up with illegals |

They should be deported. We could round a whole bunch of them up while they're making their protests in the streets. When the police pull them over, or they get in trouble for any little thing, they should be deported. |

If they are illegal why should they stay?
They shouldn't just sit and wonder these things. Call and find out how the system works. It doesn't hurt to ask the people who know the real answers. Call from a pay phone or somewhere you can't be traced in case you are worried. |

I think they should be deported. The cheapest way if they are from Mexico is to put them on a bus. From other countries they need to be flown back. If these people want to come back they need to do so legally by getting a Green Card. |

The United States cannot afford education, housing and healthcare for millions of illegal aliens. It takes away from the services that our citizens vitally need. Their countries should be forced to take care of their own citizens.
An agreed upon amount of immigrants should be allowed in every year with sponsorship from private organizations and with the desire to live and support America, not to take our money to send back to their respective countries. |

I had a good laugh at all the simplistic answers you got to this question, especially the ones who say to let them stay, legalize them, so they can contribute to our tax system, etc. hahahaha! Obviously, these people do not understand that if the illegals are legalized, they would lose their jobs because the employers won't want them anymore at the new legal, higher rates of pay. The employers will be looking at the new, sure to come, wave of illegals to take their places. Essentially, legalizing the present illegals will ensure a much larger new wave of illegals to take their places. As well, the displaced newly legal immigrants will now be able to legally receive all the free social benefits and to them it will be like well-paid early retirement, since they are so used to and so good at living on next to nothing (over-housing, eating tortillas or rice, etc.) that even on welfare and all the other freebies, they will likely still be able to ship millions of dollars back to their home countries.
I say deport them ALL, regardless of the cost and how long it takes. The long-term savings will be realized within 5 years. Seal the borders tight. Nail all the employers of illegals big-time and consistently, so it will eventually remove all incentive to hire illegals. Refuse all social benefits such as WIC, free medical care, etc. to anyone who cannot show legal citizenship. Remove the anchor baby incentive from our law books; only children born to at least one legal citizen to receive US citizenship. Require citizenship or legal immigration to be proven for all students upon registering for school. Require police to detain anyone found to be illegally in the country through any road stops or domestic violence calls or any type of illegal activity and to be removed immediately by ICE. Hire more ICE, if needed. Hire more Border Patrol, as necessary, and arm them so they can at least be on an even footing with the illegals and their coyotes and drug runners and corrupt Mexican police and Mexican BP.
Send all illegals home until they stop coming and until employers stop hiring them. When they are being deported, confiscate all that they own and all money they have as proceeds from criminal activities as the things they have obtained while here illegally should be considered "ill-gotten gains."
The scare stories of how much more things will cost is just that, scare tactics. Savings from the illegal employees are not passed onto the consumer - they are put directly into the pockets of the employers. Where do you think all those huge corporate profits come from? All those million dollar bonuses for CEOs?
If employers no longer hired illegals, they would have to hire legal citizens and legal immigrants at fair wages. This would mean more tax paying citizens adding to OUR country's coffers, not the coffers of other countries as happens now when illegals send their wages home. This would reduce our welfare and employment insurance roles and more Americans and legal immigrants would now be working and be able to afford to pay for more goods and services. Americans will do the jobs illegals do, if they are paid a fair wage to do them. Even illegals wouldn't do the jobs at the wages they are presently paid if they also had to have all the taxes and other deductions taken from their pay that citizens and legal immigrants pay. Any businesses and corporations who might have to fold up if they can't hire illegals have no right to be in business, in the first place. All businesses in the USA should be on the same playing field in so far as all should be hiring legal employees. It is not fair to those businesses who are honest and refuse to hire illegals, to be driven out of business by those businesses who do hire illegals.
Deport them all, no exceptions! No exceptions for any hard luck sob stories. They can return on their own or be deported. If they are deported, they should be excluded from any future chance of ever even returning legally. If they return on their own steam and not on the taxpayers dime, then they should be able to apply through proper procedures from their home countries and go through the procedures that everyone else has to do to come here legally. Why should they be rewarded with amnesty for being sneaky enough to have stayed below the ICE radar for a certain number of years? No way! |

I think they should be issued uniforms and sent overseas. The ones that DO make it back can gladly receive citizenship. If you WONT fight for this country, you CAN'T live here!!! |

Well, I don't see how we really could round up that many people and ship 'em all back. That being said, I am 100% against amnesty. What a crock! And what a RUDE slap in the face against people who have enough respect for our country to come here legally.
If they don't want to learn English, they should be booted and micro-chipped so we can track 'em and ensure they never come back.
1 in 5 federal prisoners is an illegal....that really pisses me off. |

You can't just deport hundreds of illegals back to a country that is already very populated its stupid ! You have to think about this before you even speak some of them won't have anywhere to go or live. Some of these people have children. I understand that breaking the law is wrong but you got to give people a chance and not judge them. You can't be ignorant. Use common sense! |

I just want my jerb back at $17/hour....no it should be $21/hour now with Cola adjustments. I wonder what corporations are going to do once minimum wage is increased to almost $8/hour? Instead of our current government solving problems...well theyre only making matters worse. Somehow our country has 150,000 people that would rather dodge suicide bombers and roadside bombs than pick fresh fruit in the garden of Eden. |

If all the "immigrant aliens" need to go back to their country, then in that case the Caucasians need to go back to Europe to their perspective countries. I'm sick and tired of hearing you guys moan about a non-existent problem. Truth is, most of the southern states belonged to Mexico one point in time, meaning it was occupied by them. Lets not forget that this land was also occupied by Native Americans. They are called that because this is their NATIVE land. If anyone has to leave, it is the Caucasians. How can America be "Land of the free♪" when they are trying to kick out other human beings???? Absurd if you ask me. Maybe its just time to change the song title to "Land of us in who came from Europe♪" |

You can't just up and ship em all away. did you hear about the round-up in midwest? In one day, the government rounded up 1000s of illegals working on dairy farms. Many were married and worked on the same dairy farm. but guess what? their kids were still at school, not knowing that their parents were being deported, and with no one to pick them up. just one day became orphans. is that not just plain wrong? that almost sounds like something nazis would do. no, this has to be much more thought out than just build a stupid wall, and waste good soldiers (who could be actively seeking real terrorists) to stare at a waste-of-tax-payer-money wall. military service in return for citizenship is a good idea not only for current legal and illegal immigrants, but prospective ones too. anyone convicted of a crime (besides being illegal) gets deported, and those who are too old or handicapped to serve in the military and have spent many years here in the US need an amnesty program that is fair to us (tax-payers) and them (most live around the poverty line). Lumping all into criminals/terrorists/whatever is just plain un-american. we are a melting pot that accepts the world's tired, poor, and persecuted. We must give them opportunities to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Its the american way...to improve lives, not persecute them. we wage wars Against those who persecute. |

I live in a border state,Texas. Most of the illegals here are from Mexico, Central, and South America. They have traveled great distances to get here, and most pay a "coyote" much money to get here. Why? They need to be able to eat and feed their families. Is not that the basic law of survival ?? If they are here, working hard, obeying our laws, contributing to the community, and paying into our tax system, they they should be given amnesty after five years and they should be willing to become American citizens and speak English. I'm sick and tired of pressing "1" for English. If they are here to make a quick buck through drug trafficking or other ill gotten gains, they go striaght to prison like anyone else who breaks the law. Murder in Texas.... you'll get the needle. My own grandfather traveled from Switzerland to England when he was 17. He jumped a ship at the last minute. He arrived in New York, and made his way to Galveston . He was an illegal who immediately understood the importance of being an American citizen... or he would have many headaches in his new country. He succeeded... so why shouldn't others who are willing to work hard here do the same. |

Good Q. Give them a choice: Either join our armed forces or be deported. If they choose to serve, they can earn their residency & will be allowed to apply for citizenship. If not, send them back & let them wait their turn like everyone else! |

it's all about supply and demand.
if the demand is there for illegal immigrants in this country, then they will keep coming to fulfill those demands.
i understand the law and i understand the word illegal.
for this 'problem' to go away, we as an american society need to remove the demand for them. but we will have to also be willing to pay for the gap of millions and millions and millions of dollars that they put into society.
this means we will have to pay more for our food - do you think an american will want to pick fruits or vegetables for the pennies that they do? if the farmers are going to have to pay americans more to pick fruits, you and i are going to have to pay more too.
at the small mom and pops restaurants ... will you be willing pay the prices of a larger restaurant for a hamburger?
will businesses want to pay more for maid and cleaning services. that's only going to add more to the prices that they charge us.
there was a study that showed that the illegal population actually contributed more to the gdp than they took. so factually, they are contributing and not taking away from society.
illegal as it may be ... there's a niche that they fill and we as a country are not going to be willing to pay the cost of loosing their role in our economy.
the ones here should stay to keep the economy stable. if we deport, then be willing to pay for HIGHER TAXES to pay for finding them and for deporting them. be ready to pay HIGHER PRICES for everything.
it's really a matter of how much we are willing to loose from our pockets. |
