I came legal in this country , I paid the fees , fullfilled all the requirements , did my drug test, my medical examination had my backround check , waited 18 month till all the paperwork was done etc and you think it is ok to mix ME up with an CRIMINAL ,that sneaked over the border ???????

You talk about immigrant students in your question and then change to illegal immigrants in your details. These are not the same group.

Immigrants have the opportunity to go to college under the same guidelines as residents.

Illegal immigrants should not be allowed any government assistance whatsoever. I don't think you should have been allowed in public school. Parents wouldn't drag their kids here illegally if they knew there was no education or benefits.

Same principle isn't it? You want the US taxpayer to reward you for the criminal acts of your parents.

Once the child is an adult at 18 they have to go back to their own country and apply to come back legally. After that age they are subject to deportation at any time.

The only thing unfair is how she was treated by her parents in making her an illegal criminal alien. Her parents, not any one else.

At 18, and an adult, you do not decide to do anything to make yourself legal, the blame falls to you for being illegally here.

To answer the edited part of your question: no, people who came here illegally, even if they were young children, do not have the right to attend college. Legal citizens and immigrants should not have to pay for your parents breaking the law.

No. By the time you reach college age, you need to be taking steps to be naturalized and gain citizenship. Then, and only then should the government assist you.
That being said, you should be allowed to attend as long as you can pay, and there needs to be reforms to assist US raised illegal aliens in gaining citizenship.
Perhaps you should join the US Army, and after your enlistment, you could gain citizenship and financial aid.

Why should it be our responsibility to provide you with a college education, knowing even after we give you this and next you would require legal documents to get a job. What would come next a massive Dream document act ? You are asking us to invest money into people who after school are not any better off than when they started. Like it or not the parents are responsible, it should be their problem to correct this, not mine.The Dream act is saying kids to age 35, not even Americans get these kind of benefits at 35 and at 35 you are not a kid any more .After you reach 18 you are an adult, so being illegal it's your problem to correct, you had many,many years and wait until the last minute to complain

I believe in the dream act, but not in it's current form. There should be no monetary aid to illegal immigrants, but they should be given opportunity for citizenship. Their parents should have a permanent ban in coming to the US, which is one thing I don't like all Dream act proposal which allow a back door for their parents to come in latter. All the forms are written by liberals which gives a wide opening to let illegal immigrants in, and not just those who parents drag in to the US at a very very you age. that's why all previous forms failed. I heard that this year, the dream act would pass

I'm going to be radical and say that nobody should have government help to go to college. It is easily shown that when the government gets involved costs go up for everyone. Work hard, study hard and you can succeed without having the government steal money for you.

HELL YES!! I FEEL REALLY OBLIGATED TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION BECAUSE MY COUSIN AND BEST FRIEND IS AN ILLEGAL IMMAGRANT FROM MEXICO! she came at 8 months old and she can barely speak spanish! And you know what? Im a US citizen and i live in Mexico! she lives in the US! she works so hard and has a 3.33 average. she wants to go to college. she has EVERY right to go and people who say they DONT have a right sickens me. I know so many CITIZENS that have the chance and wont even go to college. She cant even visit me right now. Unless you are an immagrant, or are close to someone who's an immagrant YOU WONT UNDERSTAND! AND THAT GOES FOR EVERYONE THAT SAY THEY HAVE NO RIGHT!
