The Minutemen are doing what the government should be doing but isn't. Bush went so far as to call them "vigilantes" so he's not going to help them. There are a lot of very wealthy, powerful people who want the illegal invasion to continue. They are driving down labor costs and making rich people richer, while destroying the middle class. The illegals themselves are pawns who are being exploited. |

They should be totally sponsered by the US govt. And our tax dollars should be used to support their effort. Instead of wasting hard earned dollars on thoes that are here for the free meal. Also the people of America should not only whole heartly support them they should join if they are in the area. |

No. They should be formed into a state supported militia or Volunteer ranger force. This country is the United States. The States need to exercise their own right to protect their borders especially when the Federal Government falls asleep at the wheel.
These men should be supported by the State of Arizona and given the support of local law enforcement. |

No. While it's OK for private citizens to take it upon themselves to be vigilant for and report crime, there's no reason to /pay/ them to do so. If you're going to hire someone, hire professionals who are trained in law enforcement. |

We have a National Guard, but they are all in Iraq!
They used to be called "Minute Men".
Maybe we need to start a NEW branch. A civilian-based Federally funded 'Military" to take care of National Security!
Borders & Language are essential to National Soverignty,as well as enforcing the laws our police and military can't or won't. They are all an appropriate goal.
Official recognition and support for the services of the Minute Men is overdue. Train them in what they can legally do and TURN THEM LOOSE! |

The Minutemen deserve our respect and admiration for their invaluable service to watch our borders for illegals. They are all patriots from the greatest nation on earth, the USA! They are tireless and devoted to solving our border problems by reporting thier findings to local officials. They are not racist hate groups so they won't get the funding that they deserve, it seems that's only available to those who are. |
