I Hope not, We have enough Multi-Generational 'Deadbeats' Already, who have been living off the Government for Too Long...!!

Lets not and say we did. Realistically, it is the stupidest thing we could do in this economy with this type of national debt.If you think about it on terms that you were taught, most are doing low pay jobs. That means most will be instantly eligible for gov assistance. Nothing like adding 30 million dependents...(Sarcastic)... Anyway, the issue will be forced in March when E Verify has to be renewed.This will make it really difficult to justify amnesty, seeing as though we wont be out of the recession yet...

No, Hell no. Our economy is so bad we can`t afford to take care of
anybody from outside of the USA. They get free medical,housing,
food stamps,not to mention they don`t pay taxes. Then they make money off the books and they send it back home. That`s a double kick in the AZZ.

Definitely, it would be cruel not to. In addition the US is underpopulated, and not reproducing itself. So a policy of amnesty and open borders would add an infusion of young persons, who can work and support Social Security. Since the US population is aging, eventually without immigrants, the Social Security system would go bankrupt.In addition immigrants are not a threat to US citizens because they perform jobs that others don't want to do, like agriculture, service industry, factory work

I believe they should especially if they come into compliance with the law. We all have to follow rules, and we all should be free and at least given a second chance if we have any past offenses.

Absolutely not. That would cost in the area of 2.6 trillion dollars, and even Obama would not try and handle that. I don't even think the people would allow him to do so.

if most are in the unskilled labor jobs the y will have to leave during the coming recession because our recent high school grads won't have any were to work if they stay.

I don't believe that they should be granted amnesty, but I do believe that those who have been here for more than 10 years and never have been in trouble with the law should be able to apply for some kind of residency, pay a fine and learn english, if they haven't already. For those that have been here five years or less, then I don't think that they should be favored for any special programs.
