No way. If the government wants to grant them amnesty, I would bet my next paycheck that Americans take action. What do we have to lose? Evidently you can break the law with no negative consequences as ILLEGALS have proven.

When you break the law you should be punished not rewarded it is a slap in the face of every person in line doing what the law states. What we did ten yrs ago and are saying again is to tell every person in the world if you want to come an American is first break the law and stay under cover for a number of yrs and they will let you stay.

I would like to know Why we are told we can not get Reid of them or why can they come here illegally have a child here and that child be American once again a reward for an illegal act all they are doing is to drive this Country closer and closer to a third world Country

Instead of just sending them home so they can come back help them over throw their Gov. put someone in that would want to help Mexico become a place they want to stay in instead of running from it would be so much cheapier on our Tax payers
Then start inforcing our laws by going after anyone hiring an illegal immigrant by first a fine then by colseing their Company just a fine aloan ie not enough you can not fine them $100 when they make $10,000 then all the money could go right to the boarder patrol as a good insentive to go after these employers

No, there are to many people willing to abide by the law to come here legally. It is not fair to them if people can just cross the border and take up residence.

no, why grant them amnesty for them sneaking across the border, next they will want to control the government and get free health care and welfare......... ohhhhhhhhh they are already doing/getting that???? while they pay no taxes???? besides there are millions that are waiting in line for years to get here the legal way!!!

When you get a speeding ticket and pay a fine that is not amnesty for your speeding offense. Many people are saying anything short of deportation is amenstly, but that's not what the word means.

Amnesty - n - A general pardon granted by a government, especially for political offenses.

Making people pay a fine is a punishment, just as if we sent someone to prison, put them on probation or made them do something else.

It is really not practical to say the US is going to round up 12M people and deport them. We have thousands and thousands of felons and wanted criminals on the streets now that we can't round up. What makes people think that rounding up 12M people is even something we could consider doing (and I mean the logistics of it, not the morality of it)?

In my mind, to propose such a course of action is merely political grandstanding and would be horrible public policy, as it would never be able to be carried out or enforced.

So, if you aren't going to round them all up and send them packing, what are you going to do? You have to come up with a plan B.

I'm sort of mixed on that because theres pros and cons to that.
Good: The immigrants make up America's bakcbone
Bad: We don't know who they are, what they have done in the past.
Ugly: They are stealing jobs in a way from other legal immigrants and US Citizens.
Way Ugly: They are a burden to businesses, people and governments everywhere.

Summing that all up I say yes, because when they had a strike parts of NYC were disabled. We think that they are annoying but they also contribute to our way of life in avariety of ways. :)or :(
