Should we cater for people who are disabled and have come into the country illegally?

yes we should help them.. point them to the nearest lorry,ferry or whatever means of transport they came in on ,and ship em back..sorry if that offends but we are all paying taxes ,and most of it goes to house these immigrants,and lets face it they can claim hell of a lot in hand outs and benefits,whilst our own British citizens are sleeping rough in card board boxes..it amazes me how this so called great Britain prioritises.its putting the welfare of illegal immigrants before its own sons and daughters..the mind boggles?

NO! we cant give our own people the treatment they should be getting because of these people but how do they get into the country why aren't they stopped at the terminal not nessesarily disabled but those coming here for treatment free on NHS for diseases//so come on Health Minister start getting tough with these people and think about our own people the true Brit its absurd you seem to do nothing to stop this and while i am addressing you Minister! of course not, there are tousands of health tourists flying over here just for free emergency health care , its things like this that make us unable to afford proper drugs that can save lives and eyes for the people who actually pay for it with taxes , time to be harsh for the good of the country now, we have let people have an easy ride so far here .

The question should be asked: "If I were in your country would they pay all my expenses? Would they also pay my rent? Would they also pay for the upkeep of my wife and children?
Would they pay for my disability - like we fools here do?
Would they pay me unemployment benefits and give me free medical treatment?"
If the answer is `NO,` then we should apply the same rules here. We are a soft touch and the word gets around, in fact, it travels like wildfire: "Go to Gt. Britain, they are idiots and will give you lots of money, a free house, free medical treatment and make sure you don`t have to find a job to keep and feed your children. And you don`t have to pay even one penny back.

we should not cater to anyone who has entered the country illigally, disabled or not. Then that way they may have enough money for those here legally.

If they entered illegally, despite their reasons, we should ship them all off, back to where they came from. It's not exactly difficalt to get here legally now, is it?

ok this is my very harsh opinion we have alot of people with disabilities already we have alot of homeless already e.c.t we don't need anymore and if we let everyone in we would eventally be poorer than anything then we'd all be in such a terrible mess slightly worse than the mess we'r in now

well i think once they are here it would be unethical to deny them medical care, just as it would be unethical to to deny them food and water. i believe that we hve right to expect that anybody entering the country illegaly and not a genuine asylum seeker should be returned to the country from which they came a.s.a.p. But do you have problem with diabled people in particular? Why not say 'people who require medical care?'. Not everyone who is disabled requires input from the NHS. disablity is not the same as illness!

If they have come illegally they should be sent straight back.If you go to most countries in the world today(legally) you are required to have insurance to cover any costs if you don't then you don't get treat.If you enter another country illegally they have you out on the first availible transport.It's a lottery they are playing in that if they get here they know that the PC correct wallies will fight tooth and nail to keep them here.NOT because they give a sh** about their human rights but because it is a big buissiness generating millions of pounds for them(the PC brigade) making a lot of people RICH

It makes me sad that there has been so many negative answers to this question, and so few positive ones.

There are a few facets to this question, just because a person is disabled does not mean that they will have to use the NHS, a disability can be any one of a huge range of things, few of them require hospital care after the original cause.
Yes a lot of illegal immigrants come here with little or nothing to their name, but a lot of them quickly build a life for them selves here, they are not all a drain on our society.
Perhaps if there were fewer locals who were willing to employ illegals at a fraction of the minimum wage with no questions asked there would be less of an attraction for them.

The question seems to imply that the NHS is in a bad way because it is having to treat all of these illegals, well thats nonsense, the NHS is being run into the ground by poor management, underfunding, and a growing population who are older and more unfit than ever.

Should illegals be deported back to their own country, yes of course they should, as long as it is safe to do so. But in the meantime treat them as humans with feelings and needs, because if we don't what does that say about us as a nation, certainly nothing that starts with 'Great'

i guess the questioner is disabled, certainly where the english language is concerned!
the picture of hundreds of 'disabled illegals with wheelchairs cleverly disguised as nail clippers' - rushing across dangerous territories is farcical.
i believe that they will not receive nhs care unless registered with a gp, and if they don't want to be discovered, ( that illegal thing!) perhaps they would not take that risk.
