I know what you are gonna say, it is a French idea and their military is a joke....however the only decent unit in the entire French Military is the foreign legion. Do you think it could work? Would it be useful for our country? Also, would you respect the aspiring immigrants who are willing to serve?

It's been considered from time to time on an individual basis. The Bush administration was considering allowing foreigners to enlist to get green cards, and I see it's being floated again under the Obama adminstration, but they would have been mixed in with regular units. I don't think anyone wants to see entire units formed from foreigners. We haven't had anything like that since the Civil War and it didn't work all that well then. |

We have great respect for immigrants. That's because immigrants obeyed American law and came legally. ALL IMMIGRANTS ARE LEGALLY INSIDE AMERICA. We have no respect for the racist illegal alien messicon border criminals.
Too you question NO. Why, several reason. One with the scummy cowardly DUMBacrats running the government there is no chance that these foreigners would see any real combat. Which is the only purpose to have a "foreign legion." Second it's not a French idea, it's a Roman idea. They got this idea when the average Roman became too corrupt to fight for their own country. Third, this "foreign legion" would become nothing more than a meals on wheels program under BO and Napolitano. |
