Yes, but we should do more. We should build a “Berlin Wall” along the border with guards posted at intervals and with a buried mine fields towards the Mexican border. Securing the border is very cost-effective to secure and it would definitely work. Remember, the Berlin Wall did work, which a lot of historians refused to admit.
Plus, our border patrol agents are going to have to act more and more like soldiers. Get ready to kill illegal immigrants and other criminals.
You don’t like it, tough! No non-U.S. Citizen has the right to dictate U.S. laws or tell our country what to do with its borders.

It's a crying shame that the average liberal in America today wasn't alive during the days that the Berlin Wall was being built and was old enough to understand what was going on. Mexico is part of North America too and is not the problem. Our problem in the USA now is we lost too many manufacturing jobs to the Communist Red Chinese.We need to reopen our factories that are still here and bring back the manufacturing jobs to North America. This whole economic crisis we are in started because too many Americans have lost their jobs. People cannot pay the mortgage if they do not have a job! Much of the unemployment figures issued by our Government are false. Also they do not account for people that lost a good paying job of say $26.00 working in a steel mill and now work at Wal- Mart for $10.00 an hour. That is the problem. Our Government sold the American people to Asia and this started many years ago. We need to reverse this and we need to do it today. |

We don't have the money or manpower to defend our own borders, we're using it all in Iraq, and even if we do get out of Iraq it will only be so we can use them in Afghanistan. The whole justification for foreign wars is that by leaving our borders wide open and attacking another country is that it ensures they won't send people to attack us here by stealth as happened on 9/11. |
