Actually it's more than that! Those are the figures for homicide in the US by illegal aliens. Accidental deaths add even more!
According to the FBI illegal aliens murder 12 people per day.
According to the FBI illegal aliens kill 13 people per day while driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol!
There is also an estimated 3 people killed per day by illegal aliens by non-DUI accidents. This figure is assumed to be too low but getting accurate figures is difficult! Especially when illegal aliens run away from the accidents!
I think obama, bush, pelosi, napolitano, etc. should be tried as accessories to murder for not only allowing it too happen but by encouraging it to happen by their actions!

Since you did not list how these 25 people a day are killed, I searched average daily U.S. deaths and came up with;

The above link covers quite the list of possible reasons for death but in the end it claims a total of 6,620 people die daily. If you claim illegals are killing 25 people per day then my friend my eyes would be open for fellow citizens more than illegal immigrants.

But there is an answer here listing F.B.I. numbers, they are not statistics because there is no link showing what or where they came from.

At this site it is listed that in 2007 there were 16,929 annual murders in the United States meaning 16,929 / 365 = about 46.3 daily deaths for the category of murder.

I will address the drug numbers because you are listing both in different ways. "In 2003, a total of 28,723 persons died of drug-induced causes...."
28,723 / 365 = about 78.6
Now I will admit 78.6 covers a wide reason but because you are not clear as to how they die under the influence of drugs or alcohol, I can not give a more specific number. Then again you did not provide anything more than your words.

Are this 3 killed by rocks, illnesses. drownings or being pushed into traffic all these are non-DUI causes of deaths.
Referring back to one of the previously posted links in fire arm deaths there were in 2001 about 79 fire arm death daily in the U.S.
Now that is just one non-DUI category there still are others causes accidents, beatings and stabbings but almost in any one of these alcohol or drugs may have played a part in what happened.

This particular crock of steaming 'statistics' doesn't come from the FBI, nor from Homeland Security, but from a statement by Republican Representative Steven King of Iowa, who claimed that each day there are 12 murders by illegal immigrants and 13 negligent homicide deaths caused by the driving of illegal immigrants. That's 25 deaths a day, times 365, equals 9,125 a year.

Only it doesn't. When King was asked to support his contention, he offered zero proof. King basically pulled it out of his pooper. He said the numbers came from a "GAO (Government Accountability Office) study that I had done". Only the study said NO SUCH THING.

King requested some information on prison numbers from the GAO. One of the ones he cherry-picked was how many immigrants are in US jails. King claimed that the GAO report said that 27% of all US prisoners are illegal immigrants and given the proportion of murders committed in the US each year, he simply took 27% of them to be by illegals. In Rep. King's own words, he 'extrapolated'. But when extrapolating, it helps to be extrapolating the right numbers for the right groups. He made so many basic statistical screw ups, it's hard to know where to begin.

First off, the figure he was quoting was for all immigrants, legal AND illegal. Secondly the number he was quoting was for immigrants (illegal PLUS legal remember) in federal prisons ONLY. Federal prisons account for only 13% of the total US prison population.

The real number for ALL non-citizens in ALL (federal + state) US jails is 6% not 27%. And since all immigrants, legal and illegal combined, account for about 8% of the total US population, that means they're going to prison at a lower rate than native-born US citizens.

King basically took the numbers of illegals in the prison population to be 27% and then deduced that 27% of all homicides and vehicular homicides must be by illegals.

Apart from the fact that this is a stunningly crap way to arrive at a statistic, it's mightily hampered by the fact that 6% - not 27% - of the total prison population are immigrants, both legal and illegal. Assuming that's a 50:50 split between legal and illegal immigrants in jail, the real figure for illegals is nearer 3%.

In other words, even if you want to do a completely unscientific extrapolation that would make a genuine statistician vomit, DIVIDE ALL OF THE CLAIMED NUMBERS BY NINE.

There are NO studies or statistics to back up the 25 a day/9,000 a year deaths claim. The GAO themselves stated this when asked about it in response to Rep King's 'extrapolation'.

The FBI has gone on record as saying no such statistics exist.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons have gone on record as saying that no such statistics exist.

It's a BS figure, invented by a BS politician and BS-ed on boards, forums and blogs from here to infinity. It's the Goebbels approach. Repeat a lie often enough and people will believe it.

Response to Joel: Jeepers, that's odd. None of 3 sites you linked to confirms the statistics. But you knew that, otherwise you would have linked directly to the exact pages. There are plenty of wingnut sites that do use these 'statistics', such as World News Daily, and all of them cite Steve King as their original source.

Bearing in mind that every single government agency - including the Department of Justice - has dismissed King's febrile extrapolations and real statisticians have blown them completely out of the water (legal PLUS illegal immigrants make up 6% of the total prison population, so how in hell do illegals on their own suddenly make 27%?), blithely sitting there repeating 'they're true, they're true, they're true' won't make them so.
