Solve the Immigration Problem - Force them to serve or get out.?

We have a problem with all our-volunteer military force dwindling due to many different reasons. If they want to be here so badly, why don't we make them serve in some form of military capacity, for a reasonable amount of time (2 years for example). It solves our problem of inadequate military force numbers, provides them with job training, and makes them do something worthwhile for the country that they so desperately want to be a part of.
Would this be a plausible / worthwhile solution?
Additional Details
Saying "ship them back" is what I would go with, but it's unrealistic and will probably never happen, so alternatively...

We should request that our president FINALLY takes action against the abuse of our country, our jobs, our money .
Especially in times of a bad economy

So basically we are screwed...

I think your mistaken. From what Ive seen the enlistment in armed forces is up due to the poor economy. We should just make the new recruits round up these criminals and send them home. Giving them goverment support is a horrible idea. |

No, a much better idea would be if all those that supported little george bushs need for a "legacy" were to enlist that would go a long way towards reducing the pressure on the troops. |
