My friend just got a speeding ticket. He is currently illegal and he has a court appointment very soon. Will the judge find out that he is actually illegal and deport him? Thank you! Anything helps.... : )
He had a mexican driver license by the way.

The judge most likely will fine him like any one else. If he is allowed to pay the ticket in advance he should do that. While he could be arrested, this is not at all a common thing to do in traffic court, it costs the city/county a lot of money and time.
That said I doubt the judge will ask if he is legal but may want to know about the mexican driver license. Like I said usually there's a fine schedule and you just pay the fine instead of making a personal apperance so if he has that option the ticket will say it and that's what he'll do... |

Your best bet is to contact the courts and ask them these questions. They are the ones who will process your ticket and will know all the laws and regulation. You should also ask the courts if you are allowed to take a driving school class. This will prevent your insurance from going up and points from being placed on your license. Just make sure you get the courts permission before doing so. If you don’t the courts will reject your driving school certificate. Good luck! |

It seems unlikely, but it can't be ruled out altogether. anyway, the traffic court judge can't deport anyone, but he can inform ICE or USCIS, and for that matter so could the local police. If he fails to appear for court though, the judge could put out an arrest warrant for him and that would be more likely to set him up for deportation eventually. |
