People blame the immigrants because they're lazy. If you notice, the illegals don't have high power great jobs. They do the work Americans are too lazy to do. They blame the immigrants because they've always blamed someone else. Before the illegals, it was the blacks.

its the same way in Italy both get arrested and the penalty for the citizen granting and harboring the illegal is very steep maybe we need to have the same way in the USA

We have fines for employers who hire illegals. The illegals are also populating 20% of our prisons, they are bankrupting the hospitals, they are taxing our school systems. These Illegals are costing us 87 Billion dollars per year. They are like locust and they are illegal. Spain has many problems and I actually see your problems are much bigger than ours. Maybe we should send our illegals over to Spain. We sure don't want them.

I think that's a great idea! We should follow in Spain's footsteps and levy huge fines for employing (exploiting) illegal immigrants, who, as you point out, are simply trying for a better life.

While they(illegal adults) do not have access to "welfare" per se...the children certainly do, they DO have access to free medical services and a free education.

You're literally right on the money, there, enforcing labor laws by emplacing steep fines behind issues of noncompliance does a great job of taking care of the problem.

They dont always get hired. Most of the time the get government assistance. Like welfare, food stamps, and the like. We then have to pay for that. If they were all working that would be different. I do agree with fining the employer though.

Here is the real deal, there is always 2 sides to a story, and I am torn because I can see both sides probably because of the diverse neighborhood that I live in.

illegal immagrents do get emergency health care here, they can send there kids to school here and it is overpopulating our schools, they do work for less money, and not all of them are farm workers, there is fines imposed on companies that hire illigals, but that does not stop them because the profit outweighs the risk to them, there is also companies that do not tax some of the people that work for them (small independant companies) so there is little chances that htey will get caught, and the men come to here from mexico (where it is ok to mess with 12 and 13 year old girls) and hords of them live in a house until they save up enough money to bring there families here and make the little girls in the neighborhood and their parents uncomfortable, and they do marry silly little girls playing like they are woman get them pregnant and leave them when they get there green card.

On the other hand, and yes there is always another hand, There are illigan immigrant familys in my neighborhood that have bought houses that were falling apart and has in general made the neighborhood much nicer, they start business where there was nothing but abandoned buildings, they do take jobs that no one else wants in order to make a living, and I cant blame them for wanting a better life for themselves and there families. It is hard for them to get citizenship here, and they are pretty self reliant when it comes to getting what they need for there family.

Oh and by the way, who really cares what language a person speaks anyway? I am so sick of hearing that one.

I don't know what the answer is, I know that if we keep going at this rate we are going to be in worst trouble financially then we are now but all those people who talk sh^t on both sides of this issue are really starting to piss me off. If you are going to talk about an issue, you should be well informed about what you are saying

I dint know of anyone off the top of my head that has a problem with LEGAL immigrants but I know of several who have a problem with ILLEGAL immigrants. I understand that these immigrants only want to make a better life for themselves but how about going through the legal channels to do so? ILLEGALS should not have any rights as they are ILLEGAL! Why should I as a tax payer spend my tax dollars on making a bunch of people who basically broke into my country better off than I am? As far as the employers go hey who can blame them for hiring the illegals its not right but it's cheap labor.

No one is treated bad here. In fact there are people here who teach them how to get over on us, find ways to get FREE food clothes, and many other things, once they get here. They even have books out teaching them how to sue, so they can " Get Paid". We don't care if they want to work here, hell most of them work harder then others who are here. We just do not need them to be here and taking advantage of the things we have set up for our own people.

I've been promoting an even better system...making it a federal crime punishable by 20+ years in prison for all executives, hiring managers, and human resources personnel of any company caught hiring an illegal. You'd only need a couple of convictions, and noone would try it again. A steep fine is less meaningful than serious prison time...it might be worth the fine for some companies, but it would never be worth the prison time for the CEO!

Currently, there are technically fines for companies that hire illegals, but the fines are so low that it's cheaper for a company to pay the fines than to pay a proper wage. The fines are very rarely enforced, too, so are completely useless.

Unfortunately, here in the United States we have the Xenophobia Party (Republicans) that want to live in a Nazi Germany-like environment with tanks and military with guns roaming the streets looking for anyone that's different and shooting them, electric fences and walls surrounding them, concentrations camps, etc.

Bildymooner...illegals cannot receive welfare, food stamps, or anything else except for emergency care at a hospital, you moron!
And emergency-only medical care does not pay the rent or send money home, so is not a reason to come here or stay.

We do blame the employer. But the bigger picture now is that our president says it's okay to let them continue coming into our country and taking much of our work whilst not paying taxes. I don't disagree with anyone coming here, but I do disagree when we allow them to come here, work our jobs, get our welfare, live and drive for free basically, and not have to pay for a cent of it. That's my money they're tossing around, the money I could have for my family. No one is brainwashed here. And I'm sure a big fine would stop a lot of employers from hiring illegal workers.
