Still Waiting on the Greencard?

I applied to become a permanent resident and I've been through all the paperwork and I had my interview with the Immigration Officer. Everything seemed fine and the officer said we'd get our card within 3 weeks. It's been over three months since the interview. We haven't gotten word back from them. Is there a reason it's taking so long? Has anybody else gone through this process that knows what the deal is? Thanks.

Try making an Infopass Appointment so you will know the status of your green card application. You can learn the procedure how to make an appointment at www.uscis.gov. |

we had the same problem we called them each time kept record of who we talked to they always said it was mailed finaly we called our state senator an in 5 days had the card |

Something is probably not right. You either call them or keep waiting. My friend has been waiting and never got it. So maybe they think there's something wrong with the marriage and they investigate it right now :-) |

Maybe they suspect that the marriage is not real and will call you back for a fraud interview, you can check your case status in their website as long as you got your case number. |

Did you call them to find out what is wrong, if you are in LA, you can go to the immigration office building and question about your status, I think since they said you will get the card withing 3 weeks, that' means you are fine with the interview, no suspicious, find out with yourself first, otherwise use attorney. |
