To increase profits, which is what every single company on this planet NEEDS to do, then this society NEEDS to expand. The whole world is consumed by the free market economy, more or less, so the only way that profits can be increased is by increasing consumer numbers. Without increases in profits you get stagnation, with layoffs following to reduce costs as inflation reduces profit margins. The ONLY way that consumer numbers can be increased is by immigration. Without immigration there would be serious long term recession, high unemployment and ultimately a need for warfare (to kill of the excess people and create work!) It's only immigration that's keeping this country afloat. They say the opposite in the mass media because the mass media are full of shitt.

Complacency and laziness are attributes that have been instilled into the British syche through decades of sleep inducing propaganda by your own governemnt. I don't mind if they work and contribute. But some don't, and they should be kicked out. Look around any major UK city, there is tonnes of Romanians begging and selling the Big Issue. We need to do what the Italians are doing and send them home. Also, the Polish are taking the majority of UK building jobs because they do it cheaper. That needs to stop, we need a cap on how many Poles are allowed into the UK.

Personally, I think the Open Borders policy in Europe should be changed to only include the developed Western European countries (Britain, France, Germany, Ireland etc.) and if and when a European country reaches the economic standards of those nations, THEN and only then, should they be allowed free immigration. Otherwise their economies will never improve, and ours will be effected negatively, not to mention the social disadvantages of having so many Romanians begging in our streets. It's annoying when your sitting at a bus stop and some woman comes up saying "Pleeease, pleeeeasse" and they don't even know the English language.

The basic rules should be;

1. Be completely fluent in the English language, and pass a language test set by the immigration office before coming to the UK.

2. Be qualified and/or have a trade.

3. No immigrants should be allowed to claim any social benefits from the welfare offices until they have permenantly resided in the UK for at least 10 years.

4. There should be a cap on how many Non-Western Europeans are allowed into the UK every year. This included everywhere outside Western Europe, including Eastern/Mid Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas and Oceania. Doctors, surgeons and other highly qualified individuals get first priority. People with English as their first language should also be considering favourably.

5. As well as an English language test, immigrants should sit a UK culture and history test, showing that they know the cultural and historical aspects of the UK.

I would be tempted to including swearing allegience to the Queen, but a lot of UK residents wouldn't even do that lol so best leaving it out.

"Unless you are a surgeon or multi millionaire" - the immigrant surgeons and multi millionaires we have in this country provide only a small amount of the overall labour in England, so again I ask who else is going to sweep our streets, serve us our take-aways and pick carrots out of a field for 15 hours a day?
England is totally economically dependant on immigration, so by stopping it (to presumably bring back 'national pride and identity') the country would fail and crumble into a mid-range economic also ran.

Well for a start the English government did not open our borders it was done on the orders of the EU. Isn't it a coincidence that this happened just when EU status was being given to the poorest states in Europe? Where did our EU masters think all these poor people would head for, not daft are they? As for those who say we need the immigrants to do the dirty jobs, your looking at a woman who has done them mate. Pay the British worker a decent wage, reduce the level of benefits and you would kill two birds with one stone. Not rocket science is it? Why pay someone more to sit on their a**e than some immigrant can earn, topped up by working tax credits we taxpayers pay for, not to mention all the other freebies working tax credits accrue. Not daft are they?
It's alright saying it's ok as long as they come here to work, but what about all their needs? Where does the extra housing, education, healthcare etc that they require come from, our resources are not infinite.
I earn an average wage, I have no debts yet I barely keep my head above water I cannot afford to save, yet the ONS published figures showing that Â£2.8b was sent out of this country last year alone to Poland. That did not take into consideration hard cash. As it stated, not many Poles per capita have bank accounts so the amount could be at least doubled. How do they do it?
Tell me how an immigrant, working for less than a British worker can afford to live in this country and still send a significant part of what they earn home? Okay so they may be living 10 to a room and working in shifts but that does not make it right. Allowing this to happen does not get our indigenous bone idle to seek work, it makes them less inclined/able to do so, as the immigrants have taken all the unskilled work. I hear often of workers in the building trade who are being laid of because the Poles will work for less, is that right? Only the employer profits in this case. Talk about putting the cart before the horse. Stop all immigration now, overhaul the benefits system, bearing in mind that many immigrants also abuse it! At least the indigenous or their ancestors paid into it. Which is more than can be said for the immigrants.
What other country in the world could I go to, and receive free healthcare, education and be allocated housing, often in preference to the people of that country? It is not racism, it is not xenophobia, it is common sense. Only when your own house is in order can you truly accept visitors.

England doesn't have a government of its own.

The vast majority of people, including indigenous people, have immigrant stock. So do I - and I am proud of it. So does this mean that you are going to deny your roots?
