Stop the immigrants ruining the UK.?

there were supposed to be guidelines in place that stop immigrants coming into the country if they had no benficial skills to offer but nowadays its all crossed with humanitarian reasons such as persecution. i am tired of hearing on the news of some immigrant murdering or raping someone. im not a racist by any means but i think we need to start looking for people with skills to benefit society rather than letting people in who neither know or want to learn the language or customs of the country. do you know its rude for people who know english to speak to friends in a second language to prevent others from hearing what is said? if they don't want to intigrate here they should be deported back to wherever and let them face whatever they are running away from. if they intigrate and value our customs etc then by all means stay and be happy. i just think it wont be long before there is segregation in most cities - not just bradford etc - it'll become the norm which is something i certainly dont want. i want a harmonious society regardless of race, religion etc

I'd agree totally that it's not racist. I read an article in the "Independent" the other day which was claiming a leading Swiss political party was being racist and xenophobic. While I'd say they probably were, to me, their idea is a good one. Basically if you're an immigrant and you commit a serious offence you will be sentenced and, having served that, you will be deported. But, as soon as you're sentenced your dependent family will automatically be deported. Why should any country support an incoming criminal or their family.
To me it's neither racist nor a denial of human rights. If you freely opt to live in another country you should be expected to respect their laws, society and customs. If you feel you can't do that, don't go there.
To emphasise I'm not being racist I'd also introduce it into EU law that the same thing would apply and if an individual commits a serious offence they lose the right to live anywhere but there country of origin.
To make it seem slightly fairer I'd probably increase the sentence for serious offenders where this is their country of origin. At the end of the day they (all of them) should know the consequences and, if they choose to take that gamble, they should realise there is a meaningful price to be paid.

I am from Pakistan. I must say that my intention was to make a difference by bringing in the postive attitudes amongst the asians (generally speaking) mostly to organise themselves and way of life. I must say I love to adopt the steadiness, the tolerance, the softness in speech in the british which is not same for anyone from any other country who is now a british national. One prime eg. to share was my neighbour who knocked at my door and said that he was drunk last night and rang the bell at some door which he didnt remember and apologized. I told him it wasnt ours and he knocked at every door and apologized. I will never forget that. I however admit that I never was able to go along well with the asians and hence work for a reputable company after doing my MSc which is a gift as well as a success given by a country which I dont belong to but will continue to effort towards the betterment and bringing back the old british 'sweet' traditions.

I don't expect mine to be the best answer but I just wanted to share my thoughts. The company where I work are british not dual nationals etc. and apart from few (it happens everywhere so no major issue) people I get along so well especially one duty manager who helped me and assisted me in every way.

In the end, I strongly agree to BOB KERR's answer. All the people in here should agree that if the laws are strict, people will adhere to them rather than finding false ways and then using the 'loop holes' to prove their innocence or argument. If you look in hist, even the Islamic rule was famous as after any conquest there was no torture no disrespect but strict laws which resulted in better economy and strong cultural values.

I sincerely hope this world and third world countries should adapt the good and ignore the wrong hence making it a lovely, peaceful place to live. God (Allah) bless you all.

I spent several months in the UK and saw the situation there.
It is similar to the one here in the US. Illegal aliens demanding entitlements here and there both. It's about the law and honoring it. And yes, it's about quality of life. Our nations should not be overwhelmed by third world mentalities.
I wish both our nations luck and the security of our sovereignties.

Good question, but i'm more concerned about the ILLEGAL aliens ruining the United States! When we solve our problem, then let's help the U.K. Our great land was founded on people from all over the world taking up LEGAL residence in the U.S. but those days have ceased to exist. All Politicians should be looking for the fastest, immediate course of action to stop the insanity at the borders. The problem at least as I see it is that a lot of people on both sides of the isle have an agenda which includes keeping the illegals in the country. Along with this comes the fact that any politician who openly stands for kicking CRIMINALS back to the place where the came from ILLEGALLY, will be branded a bigot or a racist. I see no immediate concern from Washington until heaven forbid, another terrorist act hits the homeland and it is evident that the ill managed border situation is attributed to the demise of innocent American civilians.

IMAGINE THIS!, a skilled man applies for a job abroad, he has to produce his indenture papers to prove his skills, must take a medical examination including an xray. Then he has to take a a trade test to prove he is actually a qualified person. I had no problems with that, so why do all these moaning aliens have a problem with doing the same thing? There was no such thing as an alien/illegal immigrant, disaffected bombers, or drug dealing pimps. Anyone who made it worked and got well paid for it. So why do we have problems with the same policies that I had to meet to get there?. Troublemakers and illegals were soon sorted out and deported, no problem. Oh and by the way it used to be a commonwealth country named Australia. How come its so hard to do the same over here, are the politicians aka business directors frightened of having to pay the rate for the job of skilled people? when its cheaper to use immigrants at cut price rates.

I wish everybody would be forced to study foreign policy, history of the world and current affairs. Some of the decisions governments take or make especially the U.K on immigration are actually the best to protect ignorant people like you. Do you know that 75% of big multinational companies around the world are wholly or partly owned by the British? So for example it is better to keep 200 immigrants from South Africa in the U.K for the sake of 5 guys running multi - international companies with revenue that pays for the guys on benefits. Some other countries have a lot of British people staying there that if they are deported on retaliation they would flood your city and You would wish if the immigrants were around.

Note: the people who know the importance of immigrants actually facilitate them to come to enter U.K in Return for foreign Deals and some to fill in gaps in our economy. The problem is that they let the immigrants live or stay with our low class society which does not understand the importance of them, hence these confrontations

The do gooders forget these people will cripple the UK , they are taking jobs away from us , Houses , putting the NHS under pressure and why , because no one took notice of what seemed to be a big problem before it became one.

It is time all western countries stop their out of control immigration.

We talk about environment but more population more degradation of the planet. The western countries and some of the developing ones like China use 5 time more resources and cause more green house gases and everything else that is destroying the planet then those third world countries. But, when they immigrate to the western countries they also use 5 times more then their home country.
We need to discuss this issue.

Multiculturalism is one of the best things about Britain - why would anyone want that to stop!

The true inhabitants of this Island were savages living in wattle and daub huts when the Saxons, Vikings and Romans invaded and civilised us - therefore every facet of our society has been based on immigration!

any one know how to put together a site on the internet that could be used to organise!! againced people trying to bring us! or our country down? i would sighn up to it and advertise it. it needs some thing like that to beat this thing. when people are organised they hold power. its no use fighting as individuals becouse the system is geared up to defeat you. think of the power of a whole country saying NO!! and refusing to pay their council tax. and car tax and mots and insurance ect.....it would all be put right within a few months. hit em where it hurts most. in the pocket......its all they care about.

I agree that it isn't racist, but that's the "argument" you will be facing most often from the opposition who has no real evidence to use. Such is life.

I say do all you can to put a stop to the alien invasion in your country like some of us true Patriots are doing in the US. Guard yourself about the race card, coz it's been used so many times on me that I think of it like other dirty words .. it doesn't bother me (especially when I'm talking about a nationality and NOT a race! hee hee that makes me laugh .. don't have a battle of wits with an unarmed person!)
