Student visa try to get Green card. But how?

I'm 21 yrs old and I've been in the United States since 2006. My F-1 visa ( student Visa ) will expire in 2011. I've been attended in ESL program and next semester I'm going to take academic class. I'd like to concern that I'm proud to be American and I consider to obtain a green card. But, some people said student visa may be hard to get it. They said If I apply for it, It just a few chance to get approve by USCIS. In some case, If I go back to my country in 2011 and re-apply for visa, the embassy won't give me that visa (based what people said and it happenned to them). If you guys have any idea about it, please let me know.

When you get your degree, preferably a masters, during your OPT period, you have to find a job with an employer who will sponsor you for an H-1B visa. Then they can file a green card application for you which will take at least 6 years if you have a bachelor's degree and about 3 if you have a masters.
Or you marry a US citizen. |

Having a student visa will not qualify you for a resident visa. Immigrant
visas are obtained for the most part by petitions by US citizens
relatives or employers in need of your skills. Unless you happen to marry a US citizen the best thing for you to do would be get a degree in a field
for which the US does not have enough highly skilled workers. The
