He has been deported twice and in 6 months he will be deported again and will he return again ?.He may of been blinded by the light but he also should be made to pay the people whom he hit, their medical bills and any future pain and suffering. He has a responsibility here to |

bottom line, anyone blinded by a bright light could have done the same, has nothing to do with his immigration status except that he will be imprisoned and deported. Accidents happen, its sad but true. |

" Lopez Luna now faces up to six months in prison under federal sentencing guidelines and will be deported." Why do you ask "should he be deported" when it says right there that he will be? Six months in prison, deportation and is comprehensive immigration reform a reality yet? No. After all this Lopez Luna could come right back. All the fuss over Luna is pointless, see? |

What does that mean. I just heard an American citizen killed his girlfriend and started eating her. Then he confessed all his crimes to the police. I believe this is worse. |

Why do they continue to give him the 6 month first time offense? This is the punishment he should have gotten. Then this crash, because of a bright light might not have happened at all. Saving everyone the grief that continues to go on along with this kind of attitude, and behavior. Both from the courts, and the illegal who continues to do what ever he wants without real punishment.
First Offense for illegal entry
a. The penalty for a first offense is up to six months in jail or prison and/or a fine of $50 to $250.
Continuous illegal entry requires this punishment.
b. The most serious charge is illegal re-entry returning to the U.S. after being deported. The penalty is as much as 20 years in prison for someone who also has a serious criminal conviction. |

No he shouldn't. What does "walk in deserted" mean? Must be why you cut and paste everything instead of adding real dialog to the forum. |

Shame on us for not jailing him six months the first time he got caught... |

Through law we have made provisions for legal immigration into our country. Those electing to not comply with these laws commit crimes when they slip into our country and continue to compound that crime every day they remain here. As time changes laws also need to be changed. But until the law changes they continue to be the law. We need to rewrite the laws making the immigration process more streamlined and allowing a reasonable number of legal immigrants into our country. Those laws also need to be more stringent in the apprehension and deportation of illegal aliens and in prosecuting American employers and officials who entice the illegals to come here. We maintain our freedom through the enactment of laws that protect society; our immigration laws are a part of our freedom that will rapidly deteriorate if we turn our back on the illegal alien problem! Those who illegally enter our country are crimnals and need to be treated as such. |

Yes he should be after he does the time for his crimes in this country. He entered illegally and then committed the crime of false documents. |

I am not a supporter of illegals. All illegals caught doing anything should be DEPORTED immediately. He should have been deported the first time. |

granted he shouldn't have been here to begin with but he is. thank your hardworking reps for that. campaigning obviously supercedes issues in their minds. gripe that's about all we can do. but even that becomes sickening after awhile doesn't it. |
