You have a very good point, the Mexican military is excellent, the second best in the Americas, after the US. It is extremely well trained, well equipped with low cost but very effective defensive weaponry and very motivated and patriotic!

Aside from that, the Mexican Armed Forces enjoys one of the highest public approval ratings from its citizens of any military in the world! (over 85% of Mexicans rate the Armed Forces as the most repected national institution in the country.) And unlike the United States, the Mexicans haven't lost a war in 160 years!

For those ignorant and racist gringos that mock the Mexican military, please explain how it was that less than 24 hours after Katrina a convoy of HUNDREDS of late model Mexican Army trucks rolled into New Orleans with thousands of TONS of relief supplies a full DAY BRFORE the US military and National Guard arrived?

Those who stupidly suggest that maybe the US should round up all the Mexicans and put them in concentration camps before the "war." That sounds terrifically brilliant! Mayor of Los Angeles? the First Lady of Florida and sister in law of the President of the United States? The thousands of national, state and local elected officials? Yes and as "Red-Hammer" so well pointed out, Mexico enjoys a MUCH better international reputation than the United States, so I don't think over all "invasion" is much of an option, would end up as a giant US piÃ±ata kicking party!

Perhaps negotiation and dialogue with one's closest neighbours would be preferrable to the hysterical, screaming, fascist racism ...........

Based on my own research Mexico owned only the southwest half of the US, until we drove them out, too bad. And how do Americans fight against America? First of all if you read your history books correctly the land belonged to the indians not mexico. Second we would totally destroy mexico in a day.
