They do jobs that Americans won't do for $8.00 an hour. I won't climb a ladder or swing a hammer for that so they get the construction jobs I want but I can't afford to take. Before the illegals got here I was earning $15.00 soon after they showed up I was offerd $10 then $9.00 to do the same job and I do it better, Started my own business and have put my boss out of business with American only labor. |

alot of americans do dirty jobs everyday.. I am an assist. shift manager at a fast food and I will not ask anyone to do something that I myself havent done before and am not afraid to do again..so the lies people tell about illegals doing the dirty work is just that a lie.. I prefer doing things on my own. keep my lawn and landscaping to myself that way I cannot complain about it because I did it.. |

I don't know anybody who's "pro-illegals". But like anything...there's more than one side to the story. There are also employers who say their towns are hard pressed to hire American workers for low wage and/or menial jobs. In some areas I'm sure that's true.
Problem is illegal IS illegal. I don't think your link adds anything to that position. |

Pro-illegals will claim anything that helps make their point and it doesn't have to be valid. For the life of my I don't know why we can't have the same worker's program that Canada has where they determine beforehand how many workers they need for a season, then conditionally allow that many in for a predetermined amount of time after which they are "illegal" and deported on sight. There is no path to citizenship, no SS checks, welfare, health care, etc. They come it, they work, they go home. The USA is a sap nation when it comes to being a doormat for Mexico and all things South of there.. |

Americans will do practically any job but the illegals will do it for a lot less money. Employers what to make as much money as possible and they know that illegals will work for practically nothing compared to the average american.
and people shouldn't blame illegals entirely for the situation, AMERICAN employers contribute just as much to the problem by hiring them.

I live here in Arizona all my life. The Mexicans and other south America illegals has all been very successful. Whatever jobs they started now they own that business.The only thing that Americans won't do is, we lost this point to start from the bottom and work up to all the way to ownership. The other problem is their is bigots on both side. The U.S. is not at war with Mexico, We do not need a wall, we need more immigration office. Stop treating illegals as U.S. citizens by stop giving them driver license, and welfare. Abolish the welfare systems and turn D.E.S offices into immigration office. Overnight we have a solution. America must treat this with hospitality. |

I've always found that phrase offensive, not only to the illegals, but to the Americans. I am not "above" anyone, and would do whatever job I could to provide for my family. And it is very offensive to imply that illegals are less human by doing offensive jobs.
I think it's more accurate to say that Americans would charge more for their salary than what the illegals are willing to accept. |
