The 20 million illegal immigrants are the biggest strain on the United States of America.

You will notice that I did not say Mexicans because all of the 20 million are not Mexican. They may make up the vast majority of the illegals but they are not the only illlegals the U.S. has to worry about.

neither, do not forget that the 300 million americans do contribute to their own economy, the same as do the 20 millions mexicans. but i see your point, it is much easier for the government to instigate a "fear", or "resentment" culture against the mexicans than to try and sort out the mess it has created. blame someone else culture

There are many more poor white Americans who draw from welfare then all of the minorities combined.

It's funny to me how many people don't realize that most illegals DO pay taxes and therefore are contributing to the system that legal Americans who refuse to get a job draw from.

I also find it amazing that so many people blame their joblessness on illegal immigrants, when every time I open the classifieds I see tons of jobs listed and I know for a fact the temp services have so many vacancy's they can't fill them all.

Your impied point is irrelevant. The straining of resources and risk to security arguments are supporting premises of the contention that illegal immigrants should not be here, which is an argument that stands on its own as a matter of compliance with the law. They are not intended as part of a comparitive argument, and don't need to be supported on that ground. The relevance is in the respective status of the two groups, whereas one is lawfully present and the other isn't, consequences from the latter group's presence matters more, for some consequences from the former group are inherent but legal if resulting from the exercise of the rights of their citizenship. You're distorting the argument.

To be clear, while one side may or may not be more straining than the other, such a strain is more justified by legal citizens, and, again, the argument is being distorted.

I will never been on welfare because why i have a sense of pride not to.
