I think the problem is your local govt. We, too, had problems with illegals coming over and stealing trucks and committing other crimes.

You know what? The border patrol secured the border. They actually did their job. They posted agents every mile all along the border.....That nipped it in the bud. We now have a safe community.....I, too, can see Mexico from my back yard. I can also take a walk at night and not worry about any illegal.

I think something must be done to stop illegal immigration! It is destructive and causes a lot of problems..like this argument about them. I do sympathize but just because they might be nice people is no good reason to illegally enter the country. My great grandparents had to wait their turn to get here..so should everyone else.

Also we NEED a wall along the Canadian and Mexican boarders not only to prevent illegals but as a national security factor to reduce chance of enemies sneaking across open boarder. Also might be nice to not read about how people are dying in desert when trying to break into country.

illegal's cause problems. I have seen a few of them here in town. they hang out behind a local body shop and huff empty cans. they steal from the local stores and really should be sent back to where they came from.

I know they cause problems. I would like nothing better than to see this criminal element out of our country. The problem is the government, who does nothing for it's own citizens. Here in NC, they commit rapes and murders and then...you know the rest. They go back to their crap hole country that they are supposedly so proud of.

That what happens when you live on the poor side of town. That happens to folks all over, not just you. Granted when it happens all over, they are not illegals committing the same crimes. The best solution was to move to a better area. Oh, and they didn't cross the border, the border crossed them! Remember that, they are just trying to come back to what used to be theirs. History 101. There are good folks and bad folks, whether they are legal or not.

What race does not cause problems. Where I come from there is white people stealing, way to many to mention that is on the WELFARE system. Dealing in Drugs, So you know it does not matter what color you are or where you come from. There is bad all over.

Don't know why they don't stay and work in Tijuana, if it's jobs they're after .... last time I checked there were plenty of jobs there ... :( This myth that it's only nice, poor, people going across the border in search of a better life is so much crap ... I have no doubt there are those as well ... but from what I have heard, and seen, there are quite a few of the "other kind" too ...

Only two days ago my friend's stepson befriended an illegal alien .. fell for the sob story, told his parents they were too hard on illegals, they only wanted a better life etc., etc., blah blah ... invited the illegal home ... had something to eat ... watching TV ... illegal left, profuse thanks for the nice evening ... stepson finding his wallet with $500 bucks gone ... I'm not saying they all do that ... I'm saying that's what happened to him ... needless to say, his bleeding heart has stopped bleeding ...

Luckily I have not had to deal with them in the same regards as you have. I guess I work with about 98% illegals and some of them are nice folks. However, one of my favorites was telling me last week that they hit a parked car at a store and since no one saw them, they left because they have no license or insurance since they are illegally here. I feel terrible but do not know what to do about it. I'm afraid the US has waited to long to do anything about all of this to make it easy to correct at this point.

I don't like the blanket statement they are all bad people.
I know a lot that are quite nice and trying to do things for the good.
My students are polite and well mannered and hard workers.More so than the other students.
They don't take their education for granted because they are they only ones in their family getting one.
I am talking elementary age,though.
For whatever reason the older they are the more they seem to resent us and that I find intolerable since they are here and enjoying the fruits of OUR labor.

They aren't all criminals unless they are ILLEGALS but some of them definately have the attitude of entitlement.

Yep,i know exactly what you mean! I,too live in a border state and what you just said happens all the time over here.These illegals are the scum of the earth! All of them are thiefs!They will steal you blind.Anything that isn't nailed down! Why can't the illegal supporters wise up and grow a brain for a change?

for some reason illegals have more of a voice now than citizens in our government.

all we have is some grass mowers and cooks up here that are illegal, our crime comes from blacks moslty.

i love the policy at our hospital here, it clearly states that illegals are not responsible for costs of any hospital stay. but yet anyone that is legal or a citizen has to pay for any hospital stay.

but yet our GOV officials and the rich liberla hollywood stars and others want illegals to come because they believe they have the right to a better life? and that they are good for the economy? but yet no one can reasonbly explain how that is.

There are some illegal immigrants who cause problems. There are also legal citizens who cause problems. In 2003, there were over 2 million people incarcerated in the US. That number does not even include the number of people held by US Immigration and Naturalization Services, it only includes people legally in the US. Have you ever thought that crimes are caused by people without morals instead of because the people don't citizenship?
