YES, I do and they scare me too. Talking about they are going to blow of all of the Hispanics heads. That really scares me. I really hope that never happens. Even though many might not have those thoughts and are really in that organization to stop illegal immigration, but the racist ones do scare me alot!!

Don't be scared of them. They are some of the most humane people on the border. They actually give those that cross illegally water and shelter from the hot sun. I think they are some of the best people out there and fully support them.

Some of them are probably racist. In fact, most of them probably are. The people who truly care about the security of our borders and the legitimate reasons why we should be more protective of them are finding legal ways to deal with the issue. It is rediculous, and ineffective, for them to stand around thinking that they can stop the flow of immigrants across the border. The numbers are much larger than a few guys on foot can control. Undertaking such a task requires the support of an entire nation.

I do not think they are racists at all. I do think they want to stand up and enforce the laws of their land. They are the ones who should be scared of being shot. The "coyotes" smuggling people across the border have been shooting at people for years. No to mention the drug traffickers. The border patrol people need all the help they can get!!!!!

let me see, they don't carry guns, and are only trying to stop criminal behavior ( illegal aliens) They are not against any one race. They have no problem with legal immigration, merely illegal aliens.

Normally talk about them being racist is merley to discredit the work they do trying to stop the flow of illegals but people that believe there should be no border and no rules for immigration

They should not scare you unless you are trying to cross the border illegally. Do you feel safer knowing that anyone can cross the border, including terrorists, they could get on a bus and go anywhere in the country and no one would know they were in our country.

Vigilantism is always worrisome because of lack of training of the civilians involved. I am worried someone will go out of their way to create an incident, or that Minutemen will stumble on drug runners in force and be unable to handle it.

The Minutemen are made-up of a majority of retired military and police officers!!! AND,they try to screen people who apply,to make sure there are no whacko's or racists among them!!

The Border Patrol does a good job,but there are not nearly ENOUGH of them to cover the ENTIRE border,so the Minutemen help them!!!
If you talk to the rank and file border patrol agent,they will TELL YOU what a HELP the Minutemen have been to them!!! But,their supervisors,will tell you the OPPOSITE!!! They do NOT want to admit the Minutemen have helped stem the flow of illegals!!

The Minutemen are a "vigilance"group, vigilance means: watchfulness,the condition of being watchful and alert, especially to danger

They are NOT "vigilante", which means:law enforcing citizen, somebody who punishes lawbreakers personally and illegally rather than relying on the legal authorities.

Go to their website and see how the illegal immigrants act in front of stores where your families shop.

They may apprehend but not by weapons, they call the Border Patrol, they assist the Border Patrol.

Hmmm, you are obviously misinformed. They are not allowed to participate in apprehensions. They are armed with cell phones only. And did you know, many of them are latino, black , Asian, Native American? My husband is going through the process of volunteering and his parents came from Mexico legally( his dad is also a volunteer).

I think they have an agenda and it is a racist one.

I live on the border here and when they came here, they were not welcomed at all. The city govt., the border patrol and the media didn't want them here. The local paper reported, why did they come here?, we have a border patrol that is quite capable of patrolling the border without any outside help. So they left and honestly I am glad they did. They are a political group with a radical agenda. I am glad our community saw right through that...
