UK Citizen moving to US to be with US Green card Holder?

My girlfriend is thinking about coming out the the US with her children. She (and the kids) are UK citizens. I am a US resident, but not a citizen (Israeli citizenship). We have been together for 14 months, and have passport stamps from both of us that we have been to see each other for extended periods of time, telephone bills which show daily conversations, and credit card proof for trips where we have been (Paris, New York, Las Vegas).
There is an intention of getting married, but I would like to know if she comes out to the states, will she need a fiance visa, or would her entry with the visa waiver program (which allows UK residents to come to the US for up to 6 months as a visitor) be acceptable?

Your best bet would be to check the Homeland Security web site BUT last time I checked as a green card holder/permanent resident you cannot petition for her to get any kind of visa, ONLY an American citizen can do that. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong though ;-) |
