I'm 19 years of age and I'm currently in the process of applying for US citizenship,I have completed all the requirements,and my question is I have taken a look at the processing times for different field offices,now I live in New Jersey now do I get to choose in between the two field offices in New Jersey? (Mont Laurel or Newark) Because I rather apply to the Mont Laurel office since its only a 5 month processing time,and I need my citizenship by september 2009! I appreciate your help since Im very confused as to what the process is...God Bles

That website isn't actually very accurate. When I applied 2 years ago, it said that Newark had a processing time of 18 months....however, my application was processed within 4 months.
A definite benefit to applying at the Newark office is that if you are approved right away, you can chose to be sworn-in right after the interview. They had one ceremony about every 60 minutes when I was there. |
