US Tourist Visa denied because of one question? Is this possible?

well yeah what was the question they asked you and what did the paper say? and also depending on the question they may have found that you didnt have intentions of comming back to ur country at the end of your visitors visa. i am going thru a some what similar thing. my husband wants to apply 4 a visitors visa and u have to qualify for it under these guidlines:
1. you have to show proof that u eaither are going to recieve medical treatment, pleasure or bussiness
2. u must show strong ties with your country to proove to the embassy that u will come back at the end of ur visa experation date
3. if u say that u are married or ur spouse lives in the u.s. they can denny u 4 that and say u are a overstay risk
4. if u cant proove that u have the money to travel there for how ever long u requested
5.If u say that u ever were in the u.s they will denny u even if u were legally there esecially if u ever worked in the u.s. even if it was legal

I don't know how much 5000 pesos is, but they probably figure you do not have enough money to support yourself while visiting the US.

sounds like you do not have enough proof to insure your return to the philippines as for your english no it does not have to be perfect

It only means that you weren't able to establish strong ties to the Philippines. I've read that you could actually ask for the reason/s why you got denied, so the next time you apply, you know what to do.

5000 pesos in 2 weeks is only a little over USD$50 each week. That answer was probably enough to convince them that there was a high chance that you would overstay your visa and attempt to work illegally in the US.

Yes indeed it is possible.

There are a variety of reason including submitting false, misleading, or incomplete information. It might have been they checked your application and found it did not correspond to what was stated. Also your answer may have not corresponded to your written application or you made a previous application that was rejected. You can try again in six months and unless the letter you receive states something differently I do believe you are banned for three years which means any application made would be automatically.
