Ukrainian passport- need to renew it and live in the UK. How do i go about doing this?

I am going travelling in October and the passport will expire while i am away, so i need to renew it. I have phoned the Ukrainian embassy and they just gave a website address which had no information at all. I rang again today and the same person said that they did not know how long it may take. What can I do?

i need the passport before i can get all the visas sorted out.

The UK embassy cannot help you; you need to deal with the Ukrainian Embassy in the UK. If they are not willing to support you, 'cause that's their job, you should complain to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

well the passport won't allow you to live there you need a visa. I had that same crap happen to me when I was a kid. I was born in Estonia, now live in Virgina, U.S., and the people in immigration kept stalling. Best bet, call the UK embassy in Ukraine, I'm guessing in Kiev, and get it settled out.
