Hi there,
I am a New Zealander with a current work permit for a company in the UK. I have had it for about 2 years now. I have 4 years left on it.
My boss has recently sold up to a big corporate company. They have made changes to our working life that I do not like.
I have been in the UK now since November 2005. Is there another visa I can apply for to stay here? I don't want to work for this company for the next 4 years just to stay here.

Check if u qualify for Tier 1 (General), permit free employment visa. All the details are given on website I have printed below. |

If you have a university degree and are making around 40K/year you can apply under the Tier 1 visa for Highly Skilled workers. it's based on points - either you have them or you don't, and it's fairly straightforward |

Were your grandparent's British? That could help, failing that a student visa is easy to get and you can work a little. |

There is a good chance that No you cant.
Unless you get married or have a baby born here.
You could try a student visa
Otherwise you have to get another company to sponsor you. |
