I am from the United States. No one asked here either. No one asked if I wanted by taxes to go to the support of illegals and their off spring. No one asked me if I wanted to take care of their medical bills, food for their children, learn their language, or put up with their crime.

When my local maternity unit started putting mother and baby group and ante natal class posters up in Polish I knew something was wrong. This is Wales not Poland!!!

Then I started my current job where every week I have to book interpreters (at the taxpayer's expense) to accompany non-English-speaking benefit claimants to their medicals and appointments. And I can't understand how they got here in the first place with no English language skills, no job, etc.

Nobody asked me.I don't think even they were prepared for the mass invasion.
They only time they pretend to care or listen is when they want my vote,but we're going to be stuck with a Labour government for many years now as they're allowing immigrants to vote.

Junction19 has emphasised the main points. This mess that Britain is now facing has been deliberately developed over many, many years by successive Governments together with the European Union. Unless every country that enters into the EU is not completely in tune politically, militarily and socially, then a measure of subversive action has to be put in force and one way to achieve that aim is to cause massive disruption to that particular country- hence overload immigration. A deliberate destruction of British standards and way of life. That may appear too simplistic, and of course it is far more complicated, however basically six constitutional treaties have been signed by successive Governments since the 1970â€™s to replace the British Constitution which will sweep away our Parliament giving the EU the power to close it down. Where does our British Constitution , our 1689 Bill of Rights stand one may ask.
The sleeping Brit is awkening, hopefully not too late!

I see that someone has already mentioned racism, the issue is not one of race but of numbers, the fact that most of the recent influx is white european, should rule out the racist element of the debate in my opinion. The point is, that too many have come here in too short a time-scale. We simply do not have the resources to support this. No one asked us, what do you think this country is? A Democracy?

Its interesting to see people are really starting to talk about immigration, when back in the early 70s Enoch Powell was predicting the out come of mass immigration, it just shows how slow we are to wake up to reality. It is not just new labour who are responsible for the state the country is in now, but the Tories too, in fact each government must take responsibility for the state the country is now in.But what to do about it now is the real question, I think for a start there should be a boarder shutdown to any immigrant asylum seeker, then we should take a look at who is here and any person found to be here illegally should be removed,plus any immigrant who has gain entry within the last 10yrs and has been found guilty of committing a serious crime, should be made to leave immediately. We may then start to get our country back and this would start a healing process of our National Health etc. After all are you too starting to feel like an outsider in your own country ?

.nobody asked because they knew what the answer would be.in the 70s there might have been some justification for mass immigration due to our connection with commonwealth countries,but this is all about mass import of cheap labour to undermined the TUC.the new work force will work for any wage and in any conditions.the government played its ace card when it called them refugees,to play on the good will and humanity of the people of this country,but its all a con,our country is being taken from under us.in a year or two they will vote in their own MPs.who would have believed that one day you could not say you are English on forms and documents

i've read all the answers and have mixed feelings about all this; i will blame the government for all this
- they underestimated the no of polish, etc people coming here and i will wonder again who the hell employed this people????
- truly i have been more verbally abused by white british yobs and chavs on the street then immigrants
- i have seen allot of English lazy baby breeders leaving on benefits(u know those teenage girls walking around with 3 pushchairs); when asked why they don't go to work, they will say they are in more advantage by living on benefits
- most of my english colleagues can't write correctly ?!

on the other side, i see polish people eating and sleeping in shelters(on our money), i go shops and there is not allot of english spoken , i have seen colleagues made redundant and replaced by lower paid polish (again!), the whole east london is taken over by foreigners(very few english words spoken)

the think is, i love london because of the multi-cultural, cosmopolit aura, but i do think that is gone to far and the government made a huge mistake - farmost allowed people with no english to come , work, claim benefits...
is sad we are talking "racism" in the 21st century

Of and by the people? That is crap the Congress and the Parliment slops on us to keep us still. They are hacks far to frequently, and a fool doesn't watch them and take care of business when that is the thing to do.

If I had a vote in the UK, which I don't, because I have been away too long, I might have voted Labour after the Thatcher years, but New Labour sickens me. It's no more socialist than Franco, Mussolini, and co.
The UK has always received immigrants, and exploited them.
Wool trade in Yorkshire - Huguenots - (Protestants escaping from Catholic France) Polish displaced persons being used as coal miners after WWII, Irish navvies rebuilding cities after WWII.
More UK citizens leave the UK every day, than those immigrating. And strangely, most go to Australia, where on their point system, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, builders are rated quite highly. Now doesn't that ring a bell?

I don't mind. I love mixed cultures. I have no problem with it at all. Get rid of the yobs and chavs and keep the Poles... we'd all be happier.

Or alternatively... send them all home and bring back every UK citizen that's left the UK over the last 20 years to live in other countries.... then we'd be even worse off.

We're all in this world together, despite our different languages, cultures, and religions. Immigration has gone on for thousands of years and will continue to do so, though many societies treat the world with such filth that I honestly don't know how much longer mother nature will deal with it. Just so happens that those people who express their feelings in English have greater influence because their words are understood in more countries and by more people, whether if we agree with them or not. People living in America should remember thet they all came from different cultures and spoke different languages when they came here, though they usually dissolve within a generation or two. If their English-only speaking descendants can't deal with living in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual society why don't they return to Poland, Italy, Russia, Ireland, etc, since most of those have an overwhelmingly "monocultural" population eh?
