Can anybody help me wiz the immigrant visa?
hello,
i'd like to ask about the immigrant visas. am a saudi girl who's going to marry an american guy(egyptian origin).i want to do the immigrant visa from saudi,but the problem is that my fiance can't come except for one month,to get married & take me with him,is it enough,if not can i start it myself?is there any way that we can do this? please help me

You can't apply for any immigrant visa by yourself. You're required to have a sponsor, which would be your fiancé.
He should look in to a K-1 visa, which allows you to travel to the US as a non-immigrant in order to marry, which you must do within 90 days, and then adjust your status to a permanent resident.
If that's out of the question, then a month will not be enough. He can't sponsor you until you're actually married and it takes much longer than a month. You would be looking at a year at the very least, probably longer.
You will not be able to travel to the US without a visa. |

There is nothing you can do and your husband will not be able to
take you with him after immediately after the marriage. After the
marriage he must petition for an immigrant visa for you (form I-130)
which will take several months to process. You might be able to
join him somewhat sooner if he concurrently files for a K-3(form I-129F)
nonimmigrant visa to complete the process in the US. For these forms and instructions see uscis.gov. |
