First of all, thank you for fighting for this country. I'm sure you have your reasons for feeling the way you do and you are totally entitled to feeling like that.

Second, after reading the answers left here by "infamous" ppl in the immigration category who are know for their "beliefs" I can honestly see why you feel the way you do.

Last, many don't want to admit to being racist and that only shows they are cowards. Best of luck to you in Iraq or wherever you might be serving. Many are good at judging and expecting others to die for them which is ironic since they themselves won't do what you are doing.

I dont think you said anything about illegal immigration, did you? you said immigration in general not illegal but here they go again.

People have migrated since the beginning. All civilizations try to separate themselves from the migrants whether they are the mongols in china or the vikings in Europe or the Huns. No country has an indigenous population, all countries are the result of migratation. Defending your culture from these migrations is what human civiliation is all about. If you don't defend against the barbarian uneducated hordes your country will fail. Some migration to share cultures of course is beneficial. You don't fight for "racist" people. A racist is someone who believes they should get something a privlege or benefit becuase of their race. You are entitled to get something from your country, and are obligated to contribute to your country, regardless of race.

I am prior military and have in my day served with many persons of various nationalaties. I am not a racist.

I want people that enter this country to do so LEGALLY. Apply for a visa or work papers, use the tax card they are issued and follow the law.

As a member of the Armed Services I took the same oath you did. I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the president of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the uniform code of military justice. So help me God.

Stand up for what is right. America is one of the easiest countries in the world to legally immigrate to. Do so legally. Half a million become citizens each year.

Every person for illegal immigration needs to compensate these innocent people who have had their social security numbers and identities stolen by these illegals who invade our country with no care who they hurt. They should have to not only compensate the money lost from their social security accounts after they are zeroed out once the fraud is detected, but every last cent the victims had to pay taking time off work, every cent that went into photocopying documentation, every cent that went towards lawyers and gas driving somewhere to get this mess taken care of, and any other financial expenditure the victim had to cough up. They should also be forced to compensate the victims for the emotional hardships endured. They should have to compensate for the money and time spent trying to straighten out their credit ratings after these illegals have ruined them. They should be forced to compensate these victims for every single hardship related to what these illegals have inflicted upon these people. Currently, the system does not provide any compensation at all and a lot of people are never restored to previctimization status. Oh but these pro-illegals claim that illegal immigration is a victimless crime that hurts no one and that we are whining when we complain.

You think these illegals care that they are hurting innocent lives? Their loyalty is to Mexico. They proved that during one of the first rallies when they took down the American flag, hung up the Mexican flag, and then hung the American flag upside down underneath it. THAT is how they feel about America.

Then the people who want to appease them pull out the excuses about how people who are not even alive now, and haven't been for hundreds of years, 'stole' the land from the American Indians. Even American politicians are carrying out this traitorous attack on our sovereignty! If this keeps up, the United States of America will become a 3rd world country, just like Mexico! Mexico's problems are not the fault of Americans, but they are becoming our problems because the Mexicans are invading us and bringing their problems with them.

The illegals make up about 5 % of the work force. The unemployment rate is about 4.5%. Keep in mind that the unemployment rate does NOT represent everyone who is unemployed. It only counts those who are collecting unemployment. Everyone else's plight is ignored. The unemployment rate if everyone was counted would be tremendous. We do NOT have a shortage of labor, we have a large surplus. The more illegals that come in and take our jobs at minimum wage or less (often less) puts more and more Americans out of a job. Most of these Americans are never counted in the unemployment rate if they do not manage to get unemployment benefits. Unemployment benefits are hard to receive.

Illegals draw welfare by stealing people's social security numbers and identities. That means there are a lot of people being directly hurt by these people as well. Innocent people are having their credit ratings ruined, having IRS problems, and social security problems. If someone who has had their social security number stolen gets married, if either spouse dies or become disabled then they can be denied their benefits.

My family moved to the US before WWII. Those of my family that didn't make it over got killed by the death camps. Our family assimilated to the American culture. We didn't expect the Americans to change to suit us. The illegal immigrants from Mexico are not civilized like that.

They not only changed the National Anthem to Spanish, they changed the words. They already burn our flag and hang our flag upside down. They waved the Mexican flag during a lot of their protests. Some schools have stopped hanging the American flag and forbidden students from wearing clothes with any part of the American flag on their clothing all to keep from offending the Mexicans. It's nothing short of an attack of our country, not only by the illegal aliens, but those who seek to appease them.

I am tired of the stereotype that Americans wouldn't do the work that illegals do. Illegals do all kinds of jobs for less than minimum wage which drives the wages down for U.S. citizens. Construction jobs are an example. There are lots of illegals doing construction jobs that Americans used to do because the companies can keep more of the profits if they pay less for the workers. All that does is make companies wealthier and Americans poorer. Illegals are stealing jobs that Americans have done for years.

(2) Cultural imperialismâ€”to expand the Mexican culture and the Spanish language into North America; and especially

(3) Economic parasitismâ€”to maintain and increase the flow of billions of dollars that Mexicans in the U.S. send back to their relatives at home every year, a major factor keeping the chronically troubled Mexican economy afloat and the corrupt Mexican political system cocooned in its status quo. You fight for the freedom to be whatever we want in this land, and to not be under control of some other country with zero tolerance on a lot of freedoms we as Americans tend to take advantage of.. Try to think of another country where you can openly badmouth the president and not be put in front of a firing squad. People do it all the time, they don't even notice how serious it would be if this land was under another country. That's why your fighting. People have the freedom to be racist. Your fighting for the freedoms to be whatever we are. For the future of this country.

This is not about racism or immigration. It is about illegal immigration and how many poor people who speak a foreign language (whomever those people may be and whatever that language may be) can be assimilated and subsidized by education and other services sized for our legal residents and citizens.

Every country limits the number of immigrants without economic resources.

Opposing illegal immigration is opposing people illegally draining services meant for others. That is not racist.

Besides, when most people use the term 'racism' in this context they seem to be speaking of Mexicans, who are not of a different race than we are.

Most Hispanic Americans are opposed to illegal immigration, too.

First, thank you for defending our country where ever you are serving. It takes brave men and women to keep this country strong and free. Thank you.
Second, true, this country was built on immigration, however it is a very different world today than it was 250 years ago. Back then, immigration was severely needed. However, today our country is overcrowded and getting worse. Immigration is a good thing provided it is handled and monitored properly.

Every person in the U.S.A., save for the Native American Indian, is an immigrant or a descendant from an immigrant. The foundation of the nation is built upon people from other lands coming for a new life here. Those who oppose this, and there have always been those who oppose immigration going back 200 years, are the less educated, the less well off and generally the fearful. I am a native Californian. Don't tell me about immigration. Born and raised in Southern California there are more illegals in Riverside County then there are legals. God bless them all. Only one thing, Why are they flying Mexican flags?
