What's wrong with finishing the boarder fence on our southern boarders?

Let's see - Finish the FENCE...

- employee US Citizens in a depressed economy
- more US Citizens off unemployment
- more US Citizens paying taxes
- reduce illegal alien criminal trespass
- reduce illegal drug trafficking
- reduce illegal human trafficking
- reduce illegal alien employment
- reduce alien burden on hospitals and schools

If we stop these issues we can perpetuate the World's economic depression. After all according President Obama we are responsible.

Bush couldn't get the southern illegal immigration problem resolved, reduced, stopped, controlled, etc.
Why should this President?
What is his and his controlling parties' incentive?

If fewer illegal immigrants come into the country there will be fewer people to help bankrupt the system & fewer illegal votes for the Democrat Party. This will create fewer people in our lower class and make it less likely to achieve the Communist dream most Democrats have for the US.

The Democrats won't go for it. They know that if the border is secured, the Republicans will refuse to discuss any other kind of immigration reform so the Dems are holding border security hostage in order to promote their amnesty agenda.

Do you honestly think a fence is going to stop those people who are determined to enter the US illegally. There is actual footage of people climbing over parts of the existing fence. They will dig tunnels under it. They will go by water up the coast.
Not to mention a large portion of the current illegals inside the US right now came here legally with a visa and have just never left. How is a fence going to stop them?
You are right. Something needs to be done. Something constructive. A fence will only slow them down, not stop them. They will still come.

we shouldn't hold immigration reform hostage by a border fence or border security. in reality our border can not be sealed off and that is one of the biggest immigration fantasies every. there is no way to really tell if the border is completely secure because we only know who we are catching, we don't know how many get through successfully. i think our secretary of defense said i best. "show me a 20 foot fence, I'll show you a 20 foot latter"

the fight should be fought and won before our borders. we should reform our immigration laws so that the people who want to come here and work can, and do not have to come through the back door. and either legalize drugs therefor legitimizing the growing and selling of it, taxing it creating revenue. or heavily enforce drug laws. if americans aren't buying then the drug cartels wont have anyone to smuggle to.

You are correct they need to build the fence.If it is a actually fence or a radar fence backed up by border patrol.Very expensive and Washington has no desire to do it.
Lets have each state add a one or two cent tax for a set amount of time.I am sure most people would be very happy to pay that.Take that revenue and put into the fence.Then we can work on things like fining employers that hire illegals ,rent to illegals,stop the "anchor baby" problem.Work with Mexico to solve some of there problems that cause there people to leave in the first place.
It would also create jobs,if only for a couple of years.

If you check the records those coming to the U.S. are going around the completed portion of the Arizona fence not over it.
If we complete the fence in Arizona, New Mexico and texas they will go to California where they are welcome.
All that will remain for us to do is built the fence along California's border with Arizona,Nevada and Oregon.

It would cost billions of dollars to finish... billions of dollars that we don't have...

And if people are coming over illegally, the best solution is to make legal immigration easier.
And if illegals are stealing our jobs for lower wages, the best solution is to lower minimum wage so Americans can compete with them once again.
And if illegals are stealing our welfare, then the best solution is to eliminate welfare so they have no reason to be here.

The fence is not a good idea, but a waist of money. Lets instead give illegals id's so the USA can know who is in the country, who goes in and out, then lets give Amnesty.

the freaking fence is not a good idea, and i think its better to give those people a second chance to have a better life... at least give them legal permission to work !! they alway do the hard work tht all the lazy americans dont want to do... they dont want to overtake the damn jobs they just want to sustain their families .... come on stop being so ignorant people ... get a job and stop complaining!
