As the term states they are here illegally. I can not see supporting the fact that they have intentionally broken our laws and are being rewarded with benefits, etc., for those acts.
We need to close the border first and then figure out how to deport the rest.

Illegal immigration and hard topic, but when it comes down to it, it all falls around money.

Illegal immigrants have both positives and negatives, they work for cheap, OK well a positive.
On the negative side they cost the government money. Billions of tax payers dollars are keeping them healthy. A tax system in which they are not paying into. The unemployment for U.S. citizens has sky rocketed, all those positions that are, yes, cheap labor and taken by illegals could be very useful to the one want or needing to work. The Government also spends billions deporting them every year so they can run back across the border,

Simple steps taken by the government could fix this problem but still nothing has yet to be done. A new Fence big enough to keep anyone out would stop many illegals, as well as a better green card program which increases the amount of immigrant workers would solve many problems. It would have the former illegal immigrants paying taxes and still filling those necessary jobs for cheap labor.

Illegal immigration isn't as bad at the media is painting it to be lately...especially in Arizona. It's sad, but true that even their County Attorney "Andrew Thomas" has created a new style of violence for ONE incident that accured in Phoenix. He's supported a right-winged radio station to publish a book on immigration, and fully supports the local Sheriff whom has thousands of law suits pending because of his immigration practices.

Some people argue that the illegals are working for wages that American's refuse to work for. That very well may be true, that most Americans wouldn't work at $5 an hour in a warehouse. However, the only reason these jobs pay such low wages is because there are plenty of illegal aliens around who will. If the illegal aliens weren't here, then the wages would rise to the point where some Americans were willing to do those jobs.

It needs to be stopped immediately by securing our borders, enforcing our immigration laws, fining/jailing people that hire them, stop all the freebies they receive at the cost of tax payers etc. They have 5 plus children, and then realize their country is horrible, they then expect the U.S. to have compassion for their irresponsibility.

Over 11 million Americans are out of work. There are over 7 million illegals in our work force. Their contribution is taking jobs from Americans and lowering wages, over population, high drop-out rates, high birth-rates, school over crowding dumbing down ed to US children.
Paying for English Language Classes for their children.
Total over $300 billion a year. I don't know about you, but that's a lot of money to spend on people who do not need to be here.

Why aren't you compassionate for people in the US who need help. Veterans, mental handicapped, physically handicapped, people who are just to sick to work? The world is not our responsibility. America and Americans are.
Governments are elected by their people. With a better education they would make better choices. Over populating their countries is another problem. Slow down the birth rate. The people who come here illegallly are not starving to death, they are not even going hungry. They come here for material things, not out of necessity.They come here illegally because it's EASIER. Easier than staying and demanding their government do it's job.
