You need to live legally and continuously in the UK for a minimum of 6 years (5 years to get permanent residence + 1 year to apply for naturalisation). By that it means you have to be living in the UK under a proper work visa (student visas do not count towards your 5 year residency requirement
You need to pass and English language and Life in the UK exam
You cannot have left the UK for more than a limited number of days per year during your 5 year residency
If you arrested and convicted for anything during your 6 years, it will make you ineligible |
