Heck, I'll just blend in. It is not the color of our skin that makes us Americans but what we believe. Instead of trying to hold that belief sacred to one group of Americans, you should share it. Make them like us.
And it is NOT the Mexicans or Hispanics that we should worry about. There are only two groups in the US that have outright refused to be assimilated into our culture. One is the Cubans. They plan to go home and don't want to lose their roots. That's fine. They can go home.
The other is the hardcore Muslims. The average Islamic family does understand the advantages of being American and they want to stay here and succeed. They adopt some of our ways and learn our language and customs. It is the hardcore Muslims who are deliberately setting themselves up for a fall by demanding special treatment that are a danger. They refuse to believe the Holocaust happened even as they set themselves to be the victims of the next one. They are the greatest threat to the US and all the other developed countries because they bring their own inflexible beliefs and poverty to new lands. |
