I think that if the Mexican government did more to control the corruption and improve conditions in their own country they wouldnt have to come north. Are you aware that Mexico ranks amoung the top 15 money making countries on the planet?
If they worked on fixing their own country, they wouldnt have to come north.
Hmm as far as illegals go, I think the only viable solution is a national work ID card. One that can't be forged and contains a photo as well as other biometric data. Then all employers will be forced to check the legal work status of anyone they hire. People without a card won't be allowed to work, problem solved end of story. |

Felony arrest, staggaring fines, jail and then deportation for illegal aliens.
What the Mexican people don't understand is that it is time for them to take their country back from the corrupt parasites that have governed Mexico for 100 years. The great Mexican people are kept ignorant and in the dark by their corrupt government.
Thomas Jefferson was a visonary and a timeless hero for all nations. Let the great Mexican people water their own Tree of Liberty with the blood of patriots and tyrants!!!

you don't have to leave the U.S. to see poverty. when we get home (the U.S.) straightened out then we'll look to perhaps allowing more legal immigration. i don't think it will ever be necessary to allow legal immigration to any extent as there will always be people who sneak into the U.S. we just need to keep proceeding as we are to make sure they go home down to the last person. by the way mexico just thinks they're poor go to calcutta, india and africa where you can see people with their bloated bellies draw their last breath (plenty are children) due to starvation. mexicans are in the U.S. out of greed not need, they want more not enough, but more! illegal immigrants need to either stay in their country of origin or go back to their country of origin. |

There are many people here and in other countries who could also use your sympathy. I think Mexicans should stay and fight for better conditions in their own country. If they think they have the right to enter another country illegally, why don't they allow others to enter Mexico freely? One law for Mexicans and another for their neighbors.
Why do people have children when they know they can't provide for them? What it comes right down to is people taking responsibility for their actions and not expecting the US to bail them out. |

My view is not popular. But time and time again, many illegal aliens are able to afford to pay 5 grand and more to coyotes to bring them across the border illegally. Granted, not all are Mexican, but the majority are. That cost alone of saving 5 grand is the starting point of coming over legally and finding work that way. I know that people complain, but many millions of legal immigrants with Visa in hand have done so.
It is not the Norths problem if people are in poverty. We give enough foreign aid and it is about time the infrastructure is changed to accommodate that nations poor. |

I will never understand why people such as yourself would help anyone justify a violation of the law. When you tell mexicans, or anyone that you are sympathetic to their cause to flee you are encouraging failure. I understand and respect your position but dis-agree with it entirely. |

well i think it would be great if they did not had to come to the USA looking for the opportunities they were not able to find in their countries ( Mexico and all others ) , however while that may be the best for them we also need to understand and recognize that they in fact are an important part to the American economy .
some people tend to forget that they too pay taxes or just don't want to recognize it just because and at the same time they ignore the IRS reports 7 to 8 billion years from them every single year . there is also the sale's taxes and the millions of jobs they produce simply because they live in the USA but yet this is completely ignored by those who claim to care only about legality .
my thoughts on this is that all the BS needs to stop and that not only they must be recognized because they make us more competitive against countries such as China ( which are much cheaper ) but because the fact that they live in the shadows makes them more pron to be abused . we in the USA don't really want people to be abused and i believe that most of the USA citizens do agree with giving them a path to become legal simply because poll after poll indicates than thats what they want , sadly the people in top of us have not understood this yet clearly . |

All people should be allowed to enter the US freely but ONLY if you learn a skill in college and pay your own way.
The citizen process is so behind it is a failure amongst numerous ridiculous US institutions
You must contribute to a progressive society
If you dont GET OUT.
The area you live in must be maintained.
Each person must be an asset to society. |

Well why don't the try to make Mexico a better place to live?
As a taxpayer I do not have extra money to pay their disability and health care!
I have already seen job loss here do to illegal immigration!
I go to bed and wonder if my family will be next to be homeless?
If you are so sympathetic for them, Help them in their own country!
Do not encourage them to come here and bring more devastation to more honest hard working American families! |

Yeah......what the heck....lets dissolve this nation and hand it over to those in the world who are less-fortunate! Americans have had it to good for to long. I too, am sympathetic for all those in the world that are less fortunate and we must make it easier for them all to come here....perhaps it would be best to have an open border, come one, come all! American can more than likely handle a population of 2 or 3 billion people, from all ends of the earth...and this should ease the suffering of the earth's masses! I guess it is time the American people give up their property and wealth, forgo their hard-fought freedoms and liberties...throw caution to the wind and make this nation one, big happy family that lives happily ever-after! All Americans should be forced to hand over everything to illegal Mexican immigrants and every other individual that enters into the USA illegally! After all, who do these Americans think they are? Better than everyone else, having it so good, while others have it so bad? Let make it where no one is illegal...they can just come here and take what they want from anyone...unheeded! Then we will be known as the nice Americans throughout the world! |

There are plenty of Americans who are in dire financial need too. We are not the nanny to the world. People should work to change their own countries. What kind of man leaves his family and never returns? Do we want these kinds of irresponsible people here. There are people all over the world who would love to come here because it is the greatest country on Earth. They should all be given the SAME opportunity. That means going through the legal process to come here. |

Mexico is not the only place to not have disability (or for that matter welfare, social security, etc.). They long to come here because they know how much better they can have it and refuse to do it the right way, because of what you said, time and money.
There is no penalty in the U.S. for breaking the law and coming here illegally, so why should they wait?
Along Mexico's southeastern border with Guatemala, which is the most heavily guarded border in the world (for reasons other then war), guards shoot first and ask later.
I don't believe we need to go that far but we do need to stop prosecuting our agents for doing their job while we begin arresting and deporting illegals after serving jail time and have 2nd time offenders be charged as a felony. |

I too would feel for the people in the situations you described. However, if they want to live like an American, they need to BE an American. I don't condone illegal citizenship in any way shape or form. I'm not saying we should close the borders, but we should crack down on illegal immigration. |

The influx of Illegals can be directly traced back to two things. The "no questions ask" by businesses & the ineptness by our congress who are owned by said businesses. The people in power have acheived a level of cleverness that is uncanny. The congress does nothing about anything. The states, who are trying to cope with something that is actually a federal problem, are beaten back by the courts that declare state laws passed to try to control the illegal immagration unconstitutional. Stalemate!!! And the flow across our border goes on. The businesses continue to absorb the cheap labor, replacing American workers & the life long members of congress(dem & rep) do nothing except receive their gifts from businesses they serve. You must start at the beginning, replace EVERY member of congress! The speeches they make do not reflect in their actions. They are not your friends. If the illegal crossing of our borders was stopped, the legal immigration would be widely acceptable to Americans. |

i believe coming to our country illegally makes them criminal. You might be right about the high costs, but as it stands now that's the way it is.And if you don't follow those procedures and come in anyway, then you are illegal. |

its not only Mexicans that are immigrants,
or the only ones trying to come here..
And yes, they should make it easier for them.
but you know, whatever, too many people
are just.... blah.

What about the many, many people who live in countries that have it far worse than those who live in Mexico, and have absolutely zero chance of coming here. What should we do for them? Flowers bloom where they are planted. If we are to truly help, we need to help them where they are. We cannot be everything to everyone.
Mexico's ex-Pres. Fox said recently "there are plenty of jobs in Mexico, they just make more money here." The richest man in the world is from Mexico, it can't be all that bad. |

Personally I think that if someone wants to come to this country legally they need to ahve some type of skill that is needed here. The last thing we need is a bunch of broke people coming to this country to live off the government and AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS!
They should be required to learn English, be required to vote and it should be understood that they can not be a burden to society, meaning that they can not used ANY government funded programs for a period of at least 5 years after entering this country. |

first 10,000 pesos is 1,000 dollars.
many women raising kids alone cause the men come here.
I'll let you in on something i don't like to talk about.my son's father(not current b/f) lied to me.said he was single no kids no wife.well when i started to learn Spanish i heard his conversations with who was supposed to be his mother.come to find out it was his wife.when i called him on it and told him to get out he got physical.i was 8 months pregnant.his family which lived close and i talked to on a daily basis never told me of this wife and child he had.when i asked why they didn't tell me they said they didn't want to get involved and cause family problems.well the police got called, he went to jail for felony domestic violence, got out released on recognisance then fled to Mexico.luck for me my current b/f was there and i didn't have to do on welfare at that time (other than medicaid).
but my current b/f is illegal too.he has been here since 13 years old.so i know i don't have the same problem.he almost kicked my first baby daddy's a$$ that night i spoke of.so not all mexicans are domestic violent prone.just to let you know.
yes i believe in reform.i keep saying we need it.but not amnesty or other men like my first will be here still.also my firsts brother has a wife and three kids in Mexico.came here got married got green card in fake name.never sends a peso home to support his three daughters.so don't believe everyone sob story.its not always true.but in some cases it is. |

what part of "illegal" is it that you don't understand?....round them up like the criminals they are and send them back to mexico, after a 5 year stay in a nice us jail |

I have never understood why the law makes it difficult for people to come here legally when our economy requires them.
It is inhumane to describe a haman made in the images of God as "illegal". |
