Nothing. Her coming here had nothing to do with you. It had nothing to do with your dad either, so it should not bother him. I would not worry at all, you have 3 solid generations of American citizens in your family. |

Is she still alive?
If not, what profit in doing anything? |

what does it matter? you're a legal US citizen now are you? what's the point of worrying about that even if your dad finds out what is he going to do. what was done was done... whatever.. let it be. |

I don't know what your/your family's heritage is but that's none of my business...
Anyways, is your great-grandma still alive?
Well, if she isn't then why would this a problem?
I mean, geez, this country was built on immigrants.
Well, talk to him about it, if he doesn't even know that his grandmother was an illegal immigrant.
I'd love to see his reactions. |

Tell your father he is a bunch of bull crap and that everyone in America is an immigrant |

I think the illegal immigration of today is quite a bit different than what was experienced 50 years ago. Your dad isn't against your great-grandmother. He is against people who enter the country illegally and commit crimes or live off of the system they don't contribute towards. I'll bet your great-grandma came here and worked her tail off to become succesful, and didn't expect anything in return. |

Frankly if your father is going to get bent out of shape over something that happened decades ago when things were very different, then that's his problem. |

Entering illegally is not necessarily remaining illegal.
She did nothing to apply for citizenship?
Regardless, all her descendants born here are legal and her illegality (not her) is just a blot in your genealogy.
According to Immigration laws, all born on U. S. soil have legal citizenship. |

It's impossible to have documentation that someone else was an illegal alien...unless they were deported and you have a copy of the deportation order. The nature of the beast is that they have no documents. If she were deported, surely her son would know. I think you are making up stories. |
