Just because he is Mexican does not place him here illegally. He may be a previously documented person who missed a deadline to renew his documentation with good reason or already in process of legal immigration procedures and then again, he could be a legal Citizen with mexican heritage or dual citizenship
The only way to solve this issue is to work together on it. The immigrant does not know or understand that by them being here undocumented they remove protections that protect the common worker by instituting a job competition that allows them jobs before legals for substandard wages below the actual cost of living while breaking unions and protection that has been put there to protect workers. This is tearing up our economy from the inside as employers are paying so little the every day consumer has no more than his needs and cannot save. Some even go in debt for needs like gas and food to allow them to get to work. Then they have unplanned health costs due to substandard housing and drafty homes that cause illness or food that is not safe bought on the clearance area.
The only way to fix this is securing borders, having workplaces cooperate in reporting what they find and also having a place to sift out those who just had their documentation expire due to problems or expenses that did not allow them to pay for it. Those who are here for the wrong reasons will be found easier if everyone cooperates and those just wanting to come here for a better life will be able to do so. There is payment, but all of our ancestors paid in some way to be here. They cleared land with bare hands, built industry and some came as indentured servants that was close to being a slave. There time paid there way as the person who they served paid their way in and their expenses.
I was born here and my family cleared land and were here from the early years of developing the country. I am several generations down from the original ancestors that came here. I am not undocumented at all and several files are on me. If you say that those here with comments stating other than your belief are illegal, you are not open minded and will never solve the problem because you will not learn how the problem started. |

If he is an illegal alien he should be reported. The problem is that nobody will do anything about it so it is a waste of time. Our country has come to the point where laws no longer mean anything. History tells us that is why Rome fell apart. I work in a school system where about 45% of our students are Hispanic. I love these students as much as any of our other students. But because we ignore the invasion of illegals, there is a huge drain on the economy. It is a sad situation. |

Thank you. I'm legally here. My family and I paid a lot of money and time for me to stay here. I love my Veteran husband and even though I qualify for citizenship they wont tell me yes or they wont tell me no. I think they lost my application. And it's because of all those illegals that I am not be able to be a proud citizen ... they let these illegals in before people that do it by law.
