You really need to get at least 2 years of work first before you apply.
Here are the details.
You have two choices
1 - federal skilled worker
You need to have at least 1 years work experience in your chosen field before you can apply. 4 years is better - gives you more points.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp
You must meet the following minimum requirements to apply as a skilled worker:
You must have at least one continuous year of full-time, paid work experience or the equivalent in part-time [1 year full time - 2 years part time]. continuous employment. Your work experience must be Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations) or Skill Level A (professional occupations) or B (technical occupations and skilled trades) on the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC).
You must have had this experience within the last 10 years.
If you have work experience and skills for any of the following occupations, then your applicaiton will be fasttracked and processed faster than other applicants.

So you want to emigrate from the UK to immigrate to Canada. [Some of us apparently need dictionaries.]
I would try the nearest Canadian Consulate. You could also check out a Government of Canada website.

Don't you have to get a visa and a green card- which means you have to show the authorities that you are eligible and responsible to live and work in a foreign country? I'm not very clear on how the system of the UK works, but I think convicted people have to have extra tests and stuff. Depends on what you were convicted for. Good luck! Canada's a cool place. |

Need a passport. Then when you come here, you need to say our oath during this event(all immigrants do it, its like a set up assembly)(to become a legal canadian citizen). Then your a citizen. You could just go to a immigrant office here in canada. I think you will be pleased when you get here. good luck, future canadian lol. |
