Here's an interesting story about that......

There were actually two votes on the matter.
In the first vote tha republicans overwhelming approved the fence.
On the second vote which was for the funding, the bill didn't pass.
But the republicans can thump their chests on the campaign trail about how they voted for the fence that even they realized was a stupid answer to the problem.

The thing is that there is more than one way to get on the other side of a wall. people can make holes climb over or just go around it. I would think its a waste of money more than anything else.

There is one south of San Diego and it has done a great job of stemming the traffic. yes I believe it will do a lot of good, but this is only the first step. We need to deport, and we need to go after people who harbor these illegal criminals in this country.

Something has to be done to stem the flow of illegals into this country. We know that many of them cross the border from Mexico to invade us. Putting up a fence will, at the very least, serve as an impedement, and will greatly reduce the amount of illegals entering. However, Border Security also needs to be beefed up in order to catch those that are entering. A fence alone will not do, but it will at least help.

It's a good start, but we need interior enforcement and to track when visa holders leave or our laws will remain a joke.

Best idea ever. Stop them from coming in and we'll see a decrease in crime and more jobs for young people--the ones all the Mexicans are taking now. Can't wait!!! Will I still have to :"press 1 for English"???? Sure hope not. How absurd.
