What do you think about a great wall to stop illegals? Put on our southern border?

They will not do it in the name of fiscal responsiblity. However, I think a better long term solution is change our laws and tell the Mexican government to fix things at home. We need to play HARD BALL with whomever is coming to power in Mexico City. Mexico needs to OPEN UP OPPORTUNITY, that is the key word "OPPORTUNITY" to ALL OF ITS CITIZENS, even the Native Americans, and stop relying on the United States to take their citizens. We should also cut services to all illegal immigrants, so that they will have an incentive to apply for their papers the RIGHT WAY.

i am not illigal imigrant nor i am imigrant.
the wall is costy and have nothing to prevent. people will use other ways to imigrate. imigrants and especially the illigal plays a role in the positive role in economy.

I do not think a wall is the answer, lots of money to accomplish what? To stop the illegal immigrants, we have to arrest those that employ them, make them pay for all illegals they employ to go back to Mexico or wherever they are a citizen. The root to the illegal immigrant problem are those who want to use then for cheap labor. We must arrest those who employ criminals as they are criminals as well. If illegal immigrants can't get jobs here, or the freebies, paid for by taxpayers, they will go back home or somewhere else. What if we deported all the people who give jobs to illegals and make them take their families and their companies and the illegals they employee and tell them to go to Mexico.

They will just climb it. We also need to shut down the employer that is violating the laws by employing them. Take away the money. Since that seems to be most of the illegals motivation.

The way to keep illegals out is much, much easier.

PUNISH THOSE WHO EMPLOY ILLEGALS SEVERLY.

I mean, bankrupt them and put them in jail. And actively enforce and investigate suspected employers. Without jobs, there will only be a handful of illegals here. And those who are here that can't find a job will pay their own way back.

That is how we can afford to deport all the illegals. We don't even have to find them or pay to send them back.

All the plans sound great. Let's put a wall and let's deport all 12 million illegals. Hey, they are felons, let's throw them in jail too. Who is going to pay for all this to happen? You, the tax payer?

Maybe, but there is probably a better way, like punishing those who hire illegals and not catering to illegals whatsoever: No free healthcare, no free education, no foodstamps.

And, if we just let illegals stay, what's to stop even more illegals from making the trip? Bad idea...

I'm sorry to say this, but people encroaching on our boarders is as good as attacking our country. Of course I feel the same about drug dealers and drug traffic-ers within our country, but that's a separate issue. We should post troops and pose a substantial deterance. I don't agree with simply 'shooting' them, but anyone who is determined to get into our country can, simply on desire alone. In this current age, that is a serious problem.

I do think yes in one direction but not exactly a wall we must all join hands together and destroy the word crime and its related words but a wall cannot help us in any way.
