Until we stop rewarding illegal aliens, we will never be able to slow their influx into the country.
Adding an extra reward (like Driver's Licenses) would only increase the flow of illegal aliens. |

First of all, they are going to drive with or without a license. At least testing them to get a CLEARLY marked alien license (not GIVING it ti them), will at least make sure they know our rules of the road and can read street signs. It would also make it easier for the government to keep track of them (Mailing addresses) and could not be used for voter registration.
BTW anyone in any city in American can have a license of anything else printed up for a ten spot; we all know that. |

It's an outrage to give illegal aliens drivers licenses. With that license they can vote, by guns, and get credit. So where is the benefit to become a citizen legally? |

The fact that giving them a driver's license even came up as a topic is so stupid. They think that if they allow the illegals to obtain a license they can get insured. But who the **** would want to insure them!!??? Why should they get rewarded for breaking the law? |

Hillary flip flops on the issue as she does every issue. Before, she was all for giving drivers licenses to illegals, but now that Spitzer changed his mind about giving them licenses, she say's she was against it. A person must be blind and ignorant if they can't see through all her lies and flip flops. |

No - You have to be LEGAL to obtain a LEGAL driver's License. The Key word people forget in immigration is the word ILLEGAL. Doesn't matter if it is underage drinking, smoking, etc. IT IS ILLEGAL IMIMIGRANTS. They should not be given any rights. As far as I am concerned, we should be more focused on the homeless American Citizens and hungry children in this country than these ILLEGALS. |

Its a state rights question for many states. New Mexico's Governor Richardson thinks it helped as a border state. Some states with large Mexican American voting populace are for it. As citizens we have to ask ourselves if it makes us feel safe against terrorist threats. Mexico has very limited extradition with the US. Mexico has had drug problems and has accuse some of its own.government officials of complicity in this. Also you are incorrect about both parties and have generalized Senator Clinton. |

Not giving them driver's licenses is not going to prevent them from coming here illegally. They already know they will be here illegally, do you think they will care that they are not given a driver's license? Not likely, so now not only are they illegally here they will be driving illegally without insurance...
If one of them hits you good luck, wrecked car, hurt, maybe dead, and not a penny to collect from anyone. Sure why not let's ignore the public safety issue. Let's also deny illegals health care, so when one of them develops something serious and contagious they can walk among us and infest a few thousand because they are afraid of going to the emergency room. |

They should be provided drivers licenses which can be used only to drive themselves back to their home countries. Once they are back in their home country, the license should expire.
Those who are separated from their countries by water won't need them. |
