Have you ever seen how wild and isolated much of it is? You cannot plug the border for the entire length without at least 50 times the manpower. Are you willing to have your taxes raised that much?

Besides the real solution is to cut it off at the source. If we jailed the employers who hired the illegals, they would stop coming and the ones here would go back.

You cannot put up a huge help wanted sign in front of poor people and expect them to not come because of an invisible line in the desert.

Most immigrants nowadays vote for the Democratic party. If millions of illegal aliens are amnestied, guess what party they will vote for?

Therefore, itâ€™s totally understandable why Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid want to amnesty illegal aliens. They are recruiting more voters for the Democratic Party.

Whatever the rediculous reason, those guilty of this should be arrested and charged with treason and once found guilty, be given the option of a public stoning or hanging! This is serious, dangerous, criminal and leading to the destruction of the US. Above average paying jobs are flooding out of the US and average to below average pay illegal aliens are invading and taking what remains. The redistribution of wealth started years ago and has now reached the average citizen. If you dont realize some of the things that are really going on, you better pull your head out.

Big business wants it open so that they can get cheap labor. the Dems want it open because they have sold out to la raza, the Catholic Church in the USA wants more members, Mexico wants to get rid of its surplus population, and the left wants more radicals to join their ranks. Only patriotic Americans want the border secured and illegal aliens deported, and their are just not enough of us fighting for this!

Alot of Mexicans think US has the American dream and cross the border illegally. As long as they have this attitude no amount of guards can stop them from coming.

At one time, we had plenty of jobs; actually too many jobs for Americans to really cover. We didn't have a problem with immigrants, legal or illegal, coming in and getting a few of them because there were plenty for us and them.

Now there no longer is enough, and we want them gone. Makes sense, but we can't really do it. The military is already stretched too thin with the two wars, plus covering all other American interests throughout the world. We simply cannot spare the soldiers without going to a draft. And there would be nowhere near enough support for a draft among the populace to really do that. The President/Congress that suggests draft for the Iraq, Afghanistan, and Mexico border wars will be voted out.

It's not secured because we can't secure it while tied up in everything else; and Mexico can't secure it because they have neither the manpower nor the ability to trust their soldiers (some of whom are part of the drug cartel problem).

You want the border secured? We've either got to leave Iraq and Afghanistan AND raise taxes to pay for it, go to a draft AND raise taxes to pay for it, or it will have to wait until we are done with our other wars.
