I didn't see them complaining about the Absolute Vodka ad that showed the Mexican border stretching from north Texas to Washington state. |

get over it. Stop being so thin skinned. Of course I say that about just about everyone that claims to be offended by something so mundane. |

I thought it was funny. mexicans make fun of US citizens all the time in their commercials, life, etc.... who cares what they think. Wasnt it not too long ago Absolute Vodka ran one negative towards the US and positive for mexico? It happens, its called advertising for a reason! Maybe their next ad can promote the Deportation of illegal alien invaders from all countries, but specifically...mehico. |

"How would Americans feel if it was the other way around?
Source(s):
not mexican by the way."
And how do Mexicans think Americans feel when Mexican illegal aliens fly the Mexican flag above the American flag in the U.S.? As they have done on some college campuses (financed by U.S. taxpayers, yet) and in the amnesty demonstrations a couple of years ago. Then, there was the Absolut Vodka ad last year showing a map with Mexico's border extending into what is now the U.S. Bet Mexicans didn't get outraged at THAT although some Americans did. |

I think it's terrible and that all Mexicans who work for or eat at Burger King should quit and return to Mexico in protest! |

I love that ad ... and I didn't see Absolut Vodka pull the ad they ran a few years back that said "In an Absolut World" and showed the American Southwest as Mexican territory. |

Its no more insulting than the Absolut commercial showing the western half of North America taken over by Mexico. |

i believe the mexican diplomatic overreacted, what i frankly find curious is how this section has become so obsessed about mexicans. |

Because the Mexicans are jealous at Burger King for being the leading monopolistic franchise, aimed at feeding the Mexicans to make them grow big and strong so that maybe one day their children will also have offspring... |

Oh but if it was the other way around y'all be crying like a little beech right. By the way mexicans were cowboys centuries before the US started acting like one!! And the mexicans sure shut the commercial and y'all mouths made burger king apologize like if it was a little beechh!!!! |

Any country would be upset, what if the cowboy was an obese redneck with rotten teeth and the Mexican was the tall, handsome bullfighter, wouldn't people in the USA be upset? Of course. The ad is petty and pathetic and there are plenty of ways for Mexicans and people from countries all over the world, for that matter, to clown the US as well. |

I saw this at work today and i got mad i am hispanic but a 4th generation american i didn't go to america america came to me. i asked my mexican go workers and they didn't care. the reasons i got mad are because not all mexicans are short my freind from mexico is 6 feet tall. i am 5 10 also because mexicans were the first cowboys americans wouldn't be cowboys if it wasn't for hispanics. and the last reason was because the american lifted up the mexican like he helped us the americans invaded the southwest like a bunch of thieves attacked us when we were only 20 years old and used us for slave labor. they went agasint santa anna when he outlawed slavery in texas. americans have a very short and distorted view of history. not all but some |

Because Mexicans take the country flag seriously unlike americans were we use the flag for everthing even in underwear |

Well if we can't laugh at ourselves then whats the point of joking and kidding each other. I think overall our relationship is much better with mexico than it was before. |

I'm so glad it was pulled! and it was more about the TV Ad, not just the poster.
http://www.woai.com/content/blogs/headlines/story/Discuss-Burger-King-to-pull-Texican-ad-after/aIfaagmpf0-GjxnbpvXrEA.cspx
The TV spots depict the Mexican wrestler teaming up with a lanky American cowboy almost twice his height to illustrate the cross-border blend of flavors.
"The taste of Texas with a little spicy Mexican," a narrator's voice says.
The two become roommates, and the taller cowboy boosts the wrestler up to reach high shelves and helps clean tall windows, while the Mexican helps the cowboy open a jar. |
