I think we are what we are, in my case it wasn't up to me to come although my parents brought me here when i was 5 im mexican and ive lived here all my life now im 22, its obsurd that people judge you just because of your parents mistakes or maybe their bravery to bring their kids to a better life, i pay taxes im illegal here but i pay taxes because i have the duty to contribute to this great country that gave us freedom and a better life. thanks

Hey everyone needs to take care of themselves, as long as I do not have to pay, and these people take responsibility for themselves I am not opposed. And as long as they do not have a problem with they way we celebrate our holidays, I am tired of the USA bowing to these people, so we do not offend them, too bad, if you do not like it here then leave, but do not put the rest of us out!! Like some stores making their employees say happy holidays instead of Merry Christmas, what are we now, chopped liver!!! I always say America love it, or leave it, its just that simple!!!

I managed a car wash and is seems most of them the owner hired claim as many dependents as they could so they didn't' get any taxes taken out of their checks, even though most had no kids. Thank god I quit that job.

Lame. Too bad so many use the false ideas of stolen Native American land which is not true. Natives were immigrants too and never owned any land. That argument is probably one of the most pathetic in all fo the pro-illegal arsenal. I've never stolen anything in my life.

Just because the immigration process takes a little time, a little work and a little money doesn't give anyone the right ot break laws, that's what criminals do.

Anybody who can add 1+1 and went to elementary school can see that allowing people to flood over the border uncontrolled is never a good idea and bad for America.

Rewarding them by letting them stay sends a message that crime does pay, no thanks.

I would have no problem with them if they paid taxes like the rest of us. They come in this country and get all the benefits of being here without paying their share. And your right, it's not fair to all the legal citizens that live here. With exception to the native Americans, that is ALL of us. To not pay taxes and to receive all the government benefits that Americans are entitled to is simply unjust.

You should mind that they are here. Our tax burden, the over crowded schools, emergency rooms, prison overcrowding, lower wages, no jobs, The unnecessary money spent is billions. Wouldn't you rather your grandfather, who came here legally, have more Social Security benefits, food assistance. and better health care? Wouldn't you rather have smaller classes and a better education? Wouldn't you rather be admitted into an emergency room in minutes rather than hours? Wouldn't you rather be paid a livable wage?
By allowing so much to illegals you are penalizing people who came here legally.

I agree....you can't buy your way into Heaven, but for a few hundred dollars America will "Welcome" you. Illegals have been here in the U.S for over 400 years. They do jobs that Americans would NEVER do and don't complain at all. We abuse them, mock them and Gang up on them to leave, but more keep coming. What does that tell you??
If you enter this country, and want to stay, a pass should be granted until you either do something illegal or cause problems; then you will be sent back to you country and your pass revoked. Since we issue NO passes or have organized documentation, illegals slip through the cracks, collect welfare, food stamps and unemployment.
TIME TO RE-WRITE THE CONSTITUTION!!

Most people who are here illegally can not get government help. where i live if you apply for ANY kind of benefits they check with INS and it is stated so on the paper. it really doesnt bother me.

I know how you feel, but there is serious money in the drug, smuggling and fake ID lobbyist and they are handing it out on Capital Hill. The surprise will be that many Lationos don't want them here as they too had to jump through hoops to get here and are not happy with the ones that commit crimes as they hang out in their areas. ONe American border town had over 60 people kidnapped and you heard about it on one show and that's it.

This is not the Amreica your granddad came to, this one is run by greed and the devil has his foot already in the door. It would blow peoples minds to know what is going on. Many are on the take. One border town has had over 800 people murdered due to the cartels. now the herorin is flowing again for the middle east and you need only check the street prices of the illegal drugs, no inflation as a matter of fact the price has fallen 50% according to government stats.

Building the fence would actually hamper them having it brought in by the mules. Known fact that at the ports they only check 5% and don't even use the Hmeland security stuff that could check for it. it's a joke. Capital Hill. oh don't froget about the organized criminal gangs that are here also. As stated like in Vagas not enough water now and sure not enough with the flow coming in. Yep times have changed and not for the best, but since everyone is out for their piece of the pie it is not surprising.

America is supposed to be the land that welcomes all those who are oppressed, downtrodden or poor. We are supposed to be a 'melting pot' of individuals who came to America to make a better life for ourselves and our families.
That being the case, why not turn 'illegal' immigrants into 'legal' citizens who pay taxes, work hard to better themselves and their families, and contribute positively to the community and the economy?
Establishing a string of "Immigration Stations" along the Mexican border could inform those trying to cross the border what their rights and responsibilities would be: find employment; pay taxes; apply for citizenship; learn English; become productive members of society or be sent home.
That, in my opinion, would be better than squandering $49 billion for a 'wall' (or fence) which will only be blown up, tunneled under of scaled over. A 'wall' won't keep illegal aliens from coming in. -RKO-

I dont mind them being here. The majority of them I know pay and file their taxes. I know this because I help them file their taxes every year.

Yes, it is not fair to the ones who have come here legally, but I guess it's our karma. We stole the land from Native Americans many years ago and now they are sneaking back in.

I don't agree that we should let in whatever person, but I do think they need to make the immigration process a bit easier and faster.. and then, if while a resident they get into trouble, they should be deported.
