What do you think of illegal immigration?

It's not as bad as the media and anti-immigration groups are trying to make you think. Illegal immigrants have been coming and going from and to the US for many years...why all of the sudden did it become this "ISSUE"?. The answer is, last year was an election year....that's all! If illegal immigration was a threat to the economy and U.S. jobs, then the Obama Amninistration would have put that at the top of his list.....but he didn't! and it's at the bottom because he and his people know how much they contribute to America.

Illegal aliens, their families, and their offspring should all be rounded up and sent back to their country of origin. They should be then entered into a database. If they are found here a second time, 20 years hard labor, with deportation of their families and offspring again.

If they are found here a third time, they should be executed.

Illegals break the laws of our country because - according to them - they think we have no right to keep them out. They clean out our food banks and welfare centers that Americans pay taxes for to benefit our poor and elderly. But since illegals are paid "under the table", they contribute no tax base to replenish those resources. They have put such a strain on our hospitals - getting free services - that many hospitals have simply been unable to stay open. Their children put a strain on our school systems and the free lunch programs designed for children of those who actually pay taxes to support the programs. The INS is finding that more and more illegals are criminals and in many cases ists. If you break into my house, you're a criminal. It doesn't make you any less a criminal just because you do a few menial tasks before you once you get there.

It is a major problem that media is not covering. I hope an illegal takes Greasy's job...or 11 of them move into a house across the street and fill the storm drain with thousands of corn cobs they used to make tamales to fill their tamale cart with and the street floods, or I hope Greasy gets rear ended by an illegal without auto insurance (I dont wish you bodily harm just a minor financial set back to open your eyes). Or I hope Greasy witnesses first hand an illegal tossing a dirty diaper in to the resevoir his drinking water comes from....I could go on and on.

Even though I am half Mexican, it is fair to say that illegals do put up a financial strain on government handouts, and a burden of taxation, well of course on taxpayers. I have family that came here legally, though the process of inspection, and with documentation. I know others that came here without any documents, paid a coyote $2,000,$3,000 to bring them here. The ones that have papers did not resort to any government hand out, they immediately worked. The others came here working for low wages, yet depended on government for free health care, WIC, and when they got hurt, they would simply get welfare, and most of these are in jail. If you want to know more, come to LA. You'll see the difference.

It's a two way street. You can't put a number on the cost as nobody really knows exactly how many people are here illegally. Yes, they use resources that we as citizens are entitled to and there is an effect on us for that reason. But at the same time they do jobs that many of us citizens would not ever in a million years want to do (such as farm labor). They pay into the tax system and get nothing back because of their illegal status. So, there are pros and cons.

Many anti-immigrant americans complain of undocumented immigrant
workers accepting low wages thus resulting in unfair competition
in the job market. They are even blamed them for the downward
trend of pay rates to very low levels. Solution? Regularize
these workers so they can join the unions. Surely, they'd rather
have $18/hr instead of $8/hr. Another complaint is they are
draining the welfare coffers of the federal government by
becoming a social burden. Solution? Legalize them so they can
pay ss/medicare and income taxes. If 10 million undocumented
workers pay payroll and income taxes and property taxes, that
would be billions of dollar going into government coffers.
Terrorists, druggists, smugglers, criminals, be they citizens or
immigrants have there place in jail. But hardworking people
seeking the american dream should be treated with respect and
dignity. America is a nation of immigrants. Even native
americans have accepted the presence of immigrants in this land.
But many have forgotten that our ancestors came from other lands
in search of the american dream.

Part of the reason why Reagan revived the economy years ago was the fact that he granted amnesty to millions of hard working illegal immigrants.
