I don't think many people in Congress will be re-elected, for one. Anyone who votes to pass an amnesty is probably looking at their last term. Elections will show how people feel. |

i can't imagine what will happen. the same thing happened in the 1980's and did you see a difference? yes, a negative one. the educational system has gone to pot, dummying up all the kids to catch them up with the slowest one (it's called norming, before you all jump on my back) no child left behind, if you want your children to be educated, you must take it upon yourself to do so. this government is not interested in helping american citizens, they only care about globalization. we have to depend on ourselves, we must be proactive . |

I dont think much would change.. I live in South Texas and we already have a predominately Mexican population...legal and illegal...and they have all figured out how to use our system... free health care..food stamps etc.. 2-3 families live on one house.. some legal and some illegal..and the grocery stores are full of them caring out food with what they call Lone Star Cards.. ( food stamps) If they need health care...all they have to do is go to an emergency room and they can not be turned away!!! so.. they have a job, food and health care....and making them legal probably wouldnt change that much.. The only thing as one person mentioned earlier... its just another way for the democrats to buy votes with our tax money.... and some one said McCain favors...making them legal... well as far as Im concerned he is just a Democrat calling himself a Republician |

If the Americans vote for McCain, Clinton or Obama we will all find out the hard way. These candidates will do what they can to kill the middle class to benefit Illegals.
People forget John McCain led the pack by co-sponsoring an Amnesty bill with Ted Kennedy that was voted Down fall of 2007 --Not once, but twice!
Americans might as well bend over if they cast their vote for one of the above. |

Personally We don't have very many in our town now.But there was one we did have was driving drunk, and killed one of my employees son. A bail bondmen went his bail and got him out of jail until his trail was to start, and he skipped town and disappeared. they are still looking for him. it got so hot with the police checking them out the ones left here they too started leaving. also. But America wants them gone and they will not stop until they are out of here.. or they will take it into their own hands. I really believe this. it just the middle class is so over loaded with so much taxes and the democrats wants to raise them again, it just to hard.on the middle class. |

Some will care, others wont... i live in WA and ppl could care less... but that has to do with the level of education out here and the fact that they are allowed to drive (which i understand is part of the issue). As far as economics goes there shouldnt be much of a change, the labor market will remain the same and that is because the change of laws would only apply to those already here.
Will it promote future immigration? its hard to say, my instincts say yes but i would also think it it will promote Legal immigration since new comers will now have a way to come. |

They sure do know the ropes. There are US citizens
starving and living under bridges.
They are filling the schools up to former capacity and the Catholic church in my former area is loving it up!
They've changed my former school to Cesar Chavez. I'm not
hating on that, but the city is 2.5miles sq. and not far away is "Costano" and they had to build extensions and a great big
huge Gymnasium. The city has 25 Taqueria's including Supermarkets. (I guess because it keeps the shopping cart thief down?)
The City looks like a cement jungle, with the lawns paved over and the better part of the city, the houses have been turned into apartment buildings. Rooms chopped up into little rooms and the garage is a separate unit.
They file their Taxes under different names. The wife takes 2 kids, the husband
takes 3 kids and so on and so on....they are cutting back
services at St. Luke's in the Baby Ward...this Hospital just happens
to be near the "Mission" district in San Francisco. Little Mexico and friends.
Politicians and the Media are now trying to make it out to be a Race war.....just so they can keep their cheap hired help.
I'm still for computer chips embedded, the kids too.

Isn't going to happen anyway!! I think there are some pretty hot blooded folks out there who will take extreme offense at even the mention of amnesty!! Besides it doesn't matter if groups like La Raza or politicians or big business want amnesty or not. ITS up to US to decide that issue for them!! |

it will raises the economy,they agreed about the borders,languages etc...but not about the treatment of the local authorities,they are not asking citinzenship,now the USA citizens know a little or nothing about the impact of that over the products ,that the USA use to sell to the countries of those illegals,70%of the U.S.A.products are consumed in the Latino countries,today the Latino countries are dealing with that,that is the main reason of the negative on the free trade agreements that usually help more to the USA than the Latino nations plus the inter. image of the USA is on the ground and that is closing doors,the allies are beginning to talk hard against the USA,Europe is taking the Latino market so Asia,the USA citizens must to gather actual information before to express their feelings,wisdom is first. |
