Slowly the roles will be reversed.
The entire North America will become a haven for drug crops.
Drug lords will become movie stars.
Drug lords will be in Beverly Hills.
HIV and other diseases will take over, from the lack of funding and any mindset to improve.
HIV stats will be like Brazil, where 1 in 4 females have it.

Maybe, then, WE can get welfare if we need it, considering that we will then be a minority group. We can live off of THEIR tax dollars, considering that our government wants to give those fleas amnesty, anyways.

Of course, we will have to deal with a nation of people who not only can't drive worth a damn, but refuse to carry insurance as well. Let's not forget that we will have to deal with all of their kids being raised to think that breaking the law is okay. Everything will be glittery and shiny (because that's the Mexican way), and neighborhoods will look like one big garage sale, but that's okay.

Our country will begin to resemble Mexico and other foreign third world countries. You can kiss the American dream goodbye. The country will no longer run smooth, the benefits will disappear, and once the US is 'gone' the rest of the world will go too. Don't worry though, it won't happen all at once. Just look at Mexico, Costa Rico, Venezuela, Colombia, and Brazil to mention a few and you tell me. Every country in both the Americas have massive natural resources and each country here has had the same opportunity to be comes just as great as the USA. With the exception of Canada, not one of them is anything but a third world junkyard. WHY????

This country is in trouble because the ignorance of the majority of Americans is mind-boggling.

I am "Hispanic" -- meaning that I am descended from Latin American roots. And just to be clear, Mexico was unstable, my father's family fled and came to Texas briefly. My father was born, and then they returned to Mexico later. All of my relatives on my father's side are Mexicans living in Mexico. Here are a couple of points to dispell your myths: 1. My Mexican relatives have no desire to immigrate the the US -- legally or illegally. They do ocassionally come to visit on visitor's visas so they can spend thousands of dollars shopping in our stores. My Mexican relatives are judges, lawyers, engineers and doctors. They send their kids to Europe to study. Guess what? There are actually people who come over from Latin American countries to vacation and spend money here.

2. I did not drop out of school. Quite to the contrary, I have three university degrees: bachelor's, master's and doctorate.

The country won't change simply because one ethnic group has a majority.

We cannot say that if a certain ethnic group becomes the majority in some country, something specific will happen to it. That is mass generalization based on race, and therefore racism. I am Hispanic myself, but I admit that if the education level of the Hispanic community remains the same for the next fifty years, we run a chance of starting to fail as a country. It bothers me to see how many of my fellow Hispanics are dropping out of school and don't seem to care. I wish there was a way to encourage them to get a better education. I don't think the outnumbering is avoidable, but we must try to at least ensure that it will not make a huge difference, economically and socially talking.

It won't happen. Perhaps in California, but not on a national scale. The U.S. government allows Hispanics to cross the border because it benefits big business...period. Workers rights have gotten better (California) and when Hispanics have to be paid the same (benefits,etc) there will not be a large demand for the manual labor or a particular group of people.
With outsourcing, more and more labor jobs are moving (Hershey,etc).

Secondly, the system/community cant absorb such growth. I believe we have seen the pinnacle of southern immigration. With stricter borders and job loss, the benefits to come to the U.S. has been reduced.

When the border bill is finished, I bet they cut medical care to those here illegally..watch... Its a tightrope of big business and middle America. Lets see how Washington pleases them both (don't count on them pleasing the migrant worker...no money in it).

I have to say that it has been a long time since I have read such vitriolic, hate-filled, bigotted material. You people sound just like the people in the old south before the civil war. Ignorance, fear and lack of education has ruined YOUR lives.

There is nothing in the Constitution of the United States that says we will remain a "white only" country! We are a country of immigrants and every large group of immigration to our shores has been met with the same small-minded, ignorant ranting that most of you display in these answers. The Irish, Italian, Polish, Eastern Europeans, Spanish, Russian and many others had to put up with people like you to establish themselves in our country.

I would have thought that evolution and inbreeding alone would have weeded you people out. Guess not.

Check your own ancestry. Where do your family roots lead to? Do you even know? Do you think that your ancestors were welcomed here with open arms?

Just like other people who have come to our shores, the Hispanic population will survive the bigots and the racists and the truly stupid. They will build a life, open businesses, go to church, enter politics, become mayors and Senators, be active in their community and thrive. Some will intermarry with others and their children will be of mixed heritage - just like you.

What will happen to the U.S.? It will remain the same great nation it is today...it will survive and thrive. What makes our nation so great is the diversity of our population.

The only thing that can bring the U.S. to it's knees and bring ruin is people who think they are so superior, so much "better" than the next guy, so much more entitled to what our country has to offer, that they start lynching those they don't like, verbally or in fact.

I am so glad that you people are in the minority in our country. Most of us are not fearful, not afraid of change and still believe that this nation is the "land of the free and home of the brave" and is open to anyone who wants to come here and become American.
