these are all false issues that are thrown into the political process in order to attract votes. They are not important in the major scheme of things because they affect a small number of people. Politicians bring them up because the issues cause a reaction.
But when *real* issue begin to occur (economic meltdown) the false issues show up for what they are -- completely bogus. And the world begins to see that the real issues are more dangerous than the invented ones. |

Since I come to USA, I notice adults are very much like children... They see one person have an idea or opinion, and they shift to that opinion... Government is government, not 100% truthful; but the people do what they see others do. If for one reason or another they favor republican or democrat candidate, they tend to follow with the belief of that person... until the other become more popular. I notice a lot of people has problem with me being in USA because of my nationality, and everyone who arab or indian have trouble being in USA because everyone think we are here illegal and taking their jobs.. I am here for school so like a lot of them. And what about America being a melting pot? If noone can come here, it is not America and is not free. Gay marriage and abortion go a lot with religious belief, which also change sometimes with the mood.
From my experience, everyone react based on other reactions. No priorities... goes from rallies against gay marriage, to pro-life, to anti-immigration/anti-illegal immigration, and back. |
