I am sorry to say I don't think it is the same old Blighty. If only people would let you get on with your life, without hostility. England is a dictatorship, with the politicians pretending we have freedom of speech, which clearly we do not have. The opinions of the indigenous population are totally ignored, as are the sick and elderly.
The politicians, all of them are only interested in what they can get out of us. They pay lip service to important issues that don't affect them, but have massive impact on the poor old workers. Still never mind a, we can work til we drop to make it better for whoever feels like living here !

I've been on a visit and what is evident is that good manners on the road and elsewhere have gone for a burton, with people literally being pushed out of the way by... well, foreigners and a feeling that one is in a jungle where survival is the main preoccupation. Little English is heard on the street and one feels a stranger in one's own country. |
